Did Kraft make the wrong decision choosing Belichick over Brady in 2020?

Alright, now that Belichick is officially no longer a New England Patriot and Tom Brady is retired the book can be closed.

Kraft allowing Belichick to get rid of the greatest quarterback of all-time is honestly one of the most disgraceful decisions in Boston sports history.

Even assuming Brady still retires after 2022 (a case could be made he's still playing right now if he had stayed here), from 2020-2022 I fully believe the Patriots would have made the playoffs all 3 years, had multiple playoff wins and had at least a puncher's shot of another Super Bowl in any of them.

And even had they never got another ring, Brady would have retired as a Patriot, playing here his entire career, which in itself would have been fully worth it.

Alas, Belichick's ego destroyed the illusion of an equal importance in their partnership. 2020 was the end of an era, today is the end of an error.

Enough already.
Far too much already.

Post: BB - Good Riddance!
I'm glad that Belichick is finally gone. He was holding the team back with his stubbornness and arrogance. He refused to adapt to the changing game and wasted draft picks on busts. He let go of Brady, the GOAT, and replaced him with a washed-up Cam Newton. He also cheated multiple times and tarnished the reputation of the franchise. The Patriots need a fresh start with a new coach who can rebuild the team and restore the glory.

I agree with you. Belichick was a great coach in the past, but he lost his touch in the last few years. He failed to develop a competent offense and defense, and relied too much on his outdated system. He also alienated the players and the fans with his cold and distant personality. He should have retired after the last Super Bowl win, instead of dragging the team down with him. The Patriots deserve better than Belichick.

If Kraft chose Brady over Belichick back then, we most likely have gotten stuck with McDaniels as HC.

And as great as Brady was, McDaniels would have torpedoed our chances.

Brady was a free agent, he chose to leave because the team was burnt out from playing in 4 Super Bowls and winning 3.

Kraft didn't choose anyone, it was smart of both side to start over. Brady's wife wanted to live in Florida, it wasn't a choice.

Still this stupid inane topic.
