Brady named AFC offensive player of the week

I think it was his rush for a first down and subsequent pose that pushed him over the top in the voters mind.

Cue!

I can't believe the NFL allowed this. He certainly deserved it, but figured the NFL would make sure he didn't win it.

This is the 26th time in his career Brady was named AFC offensive player of the week

The GOAT is gonna graze. Next one to get eaten up is Cinci!

Only other realistic choice in my mind was Marty b

The article at the top of the page on this subject from the Providence Journal pointed out that Brady is now 3rd all time in wins (195) behind Manning and Favre who both have 200. That going to be a sweet record to hold and isn't far off. I can't wait for that.

In the end, even though wins aren't a QB stat, isn't it the most important record their is? Wins and losses are ultimately all that matter.

Agreed, it's a team game. BUT, a lot of times the QB is the major reason for the wins and losses. Take Manning's playoff record, a lot of the losses were due to his mistakes.

Brady edged out Big Ben in QB rating and QBR - even with Ben's 4 TDs, Brady was more efficient with a 70% competition %. On top of that, he's the oldest positional player in the NFL who had a 4 week 100% vacation from being anywhere with or near his team or the facility to train.

This decision was E-A-S-Y!!!

That and also his win % are likely head and shoulders above them and everyone else in regular and post season (Joe Montana may have him beat by . much) . I don't think he's ever had a season with less than 10 wins. And that was probably once.

tom brady has him beat in both the regular season and playoffs:

regular season
brady 173-51, 0.772
montana 117-47, 0.713

post-season
brady 22-9, 0.710
montana 16-7, 0.696

the patriots were 9-7 in 2002, so 1 season with fewer than 10 wins.
