Honor for Brady
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Packers running back Ahman Green were named the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played on October 29-30, the NFL announced today.
Brady completed 29 of 43 passes for 372 yards and four touchdowns in the Patriots’ 31-7 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. He completed passes to 10 different receivers and connected on touchdown passes of six, seven, nine and 10 yards, each to a different player.
Brady and Green were selected from among finalists in air and ground categories through 94,576 fan votes on NFL.com and via Sprint wireless service.
Brady topped Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. Brady received 46 percent of the fan votes for FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week, while Manning received 32 percent and Vick received 22 percent.
