Brady and the boys nap before night games...

This is another good point about tomorrow night's game:

The Patriots are USED TO playing Thursday nights, Sunday nights and Monday nights. They've already played a Thursday nighter and a Sunday nighter this year.

The Dolphins have played five 1pm games and one London game.

In 2014?:

Patriots 5 night games (1 Thursday, 3 Sunday, 1 Monday)

Dolphins: 2 night games (1 Thursday, 1 Monday)

Too true!

If you're serious about fitness and conditioning, you have to take a scientific attitude even to things most of us don't bother about. FWIW, I don't think that football has gone into this anything like as deeply as other sports:

BBC Sport - How Gareth Bale and Real Madrid sleep their way to the top

Liverpool should forget about "sleep experts" and instead secure "goal scoring" experts.
And.........if sleep is THE ANSWER....then why is siesta loving Spain (the country) such a freakin disaster.
And you Brits......does "passed out" in the gutter after a proper hooliganing constitute "effective" sleep?
The Patriots do have an in-house advantage that most teams don't have....a hotel on property. I bet Edelman has requested an "attached" room next to Brady. How TB12 can get any sleep with Edelman lightly rapping on the connecting door, "Tommy, are you asleep?"
I doubt most teams will spend $$$$$$$ to create 5 star sleep pods for their players.....that money is meant for lawsuits verses the players union and its stars.
I think I read somewhere that Colts owner Irsay has turned his stadium apartment into a meth lab.

I work at night mostly, and hell yeah, a nap beforehand is awesome.

I think the healthiest I have been as an adult was the year or so that I was in a carpool. I would fall asleep every evening on the way home (preferably during weeks when I wasn't driving).

Quick naps are vital nutrition to athletes.
Recovery and rest in cycling: if you can lean, don't stand. If you can sit, don't lean. If you can lie down, don't sit. If you can sleep, don't just lie there.

The more tidbits that leak out of the Patriot's organization about the way they treat athletes just confirms how cutting edge they are. Cycling Team Sky consults a sleep specialist and they're currently the best. The San Antonio Spurs' trainers were light years ahead of other NBA teams. Brady's medical and training approach is way ahead of what most others are doing. There is so much alternative medicine that traditional NFL teams and trainers scoff at, I would guess we'll find out later that the Patriots use them regularly.

Do they bring in a sleep consultant like the Jets did when they went to London?

Hell, I don't know how Brady gets sleep, period.

"Nighty night..."
