Brady and Moss...

After reading articles on scouting, etc, I don't think we really can invest anything into the second half. The Patriots don't want to show scouts anything in these last few games. I have a feeling Brady and the Pats might be doing this on purpose. I could be wrong, but I think Brady on the coaching staff is smarter than that.

Right, Belichick's plan for the 2nd half was to have 3 turnovers, punt 4 times, accumulate 96 yards of offense and score zero points

Running vanilla stuff isn't an excuse for the Pats lack of offensive execution in the second half. In fact, it can be argued that it should be EASIER for the team to execute VANILLA plays, particularly when facing an INFERIOR opponent.

Keep the excuses coming. It will be interesting to see what you come up with when the Colts eliminate the Pats in the playoffs. I guess it will be because Belichick is holding back to go 16-0 in 2008.

So the Giants triple team Moss?

Brady will not get Moss his record. The Giants game plan will be to cover Moss.

Moss will be covered like a blanket. I hope Brady does not give up the win in an attempt to get Moss 2 TD's.

Moss AND Brady can easily get both records next Sunday, but not by tossing the ball to Randy on every cycle inside the 40. They got 3 and 4 TD's per game up to this point by staying under the radar. That is - short passes - run the field to many receivers, after all there have been 21 different players get TD's this year. Call a run play every 3 to 5 plays to multiple RB's - in other words, mix it up and make them pay for triple teaming Randy. They will lay off and BOOM - one more for the record.

Of course this must be to obvious and simplistic, but it has worked to this point. In any event, I bow to the genius of BB to come up with a plan that is best for the team!

I am watching Brady try and get the ball to Moss in situations where others are open and throwing to Moss is not the best read. I believe that Brady feels a certain amount of pressure to help Moss break Rice's record.

I also believe that after next week's game this will not be an issue anymore.

Its a new season after the Giants game and Brady will not be forcing throws to Moss.

Anyone agree?

this is something which I have been complaining. If we want to win a SB ring, we need to play better. tom and Randy show does not work any more. When another team figures a way to shut Randy down, pats O is not going to be effective any more if tom doesn't learn how to throw the ball to other WRs.

the second half of yesterday game was really PATHETIC.

Lets think about this rationally.

Maroney scored 2 TD that was not about breaking a record, that was about winning the game.

However, in garbage time (aka 2nd half) Brady was forcing passes to Moss, as he was at the end of the Steelers game and Jets game.

Based on that I am sure that against the Giants, first the Pats will take care of winning the first game and then if they get a sufficient lead, Brady will look to records.

Also TB threw to Moss at least once where Welker had a very easy TD. A TD to Welker helps his own stats and record quest, but he threw it to Moss.

It is obvious that Brady is more interested in helping his teammate break the reception record, than he is in breaking the reception record.

Sorry, I missed that one.

Consider yourself lucky.

Sometimes, I'm about to respond to certain posters' inane posts, and then I realize that I have better uses for my time, like sleeping.
