Bortles

Pittsburgh played mostly zone and Bortles had a great game throwing the ball against zone coverage. (We play press man!)

Their whole passing scheme is based on play action. And Bortles is ok at the play action game.

Unlike Mariota, Bortles will look to second and third reads if the primary read is covered. Which makes dump offs to the backs a bit dangerous for us.

Out of play action Bortles can run and is dangerous as a runner.

We stop their running game and it is a long afternoon for Jacksonville.

He looked like he was afraid to throw in the game against the bills but hit a couple right off the bat against Pitt and it seemed to give him confidence. Remind anyone of bygone games against a QB with a big forehead? I think BB uses a similar game plan.
