By popular demand, we're going to go with not one but TWO big editions of "What They're Saying" for this week's preseason contest between the Patriots and Redskins. (We'll do the same thing once the regular season rolls around--part two will come on Saturday...) So here, without further ado, is a closer look at what some D.C.-area media types are saying about the game, which is apparently a huge one for the Redskins:

Good stuff.

There is a sense of urgency in Washington. They've lost their first two preseason games, and their first string offense has been struggling in the limited time it's been on the field. I think Gibbs will have the Skins fired up and ready to roll on Saturday - it's fairly important that their new offense (under Al Saunders) gets on track.

The Redskins defense is a tough bunch, they should (hey, it's preseason) pose a challenge to Brady & Company.
