You need to apply just the same way as most other gigs, and they accept about 20% of their overall applicants (1 in every 5 is what they claim).

That's taking their word for it. Given the quality of most of the stuff on BR (here's a slideshow about the best looking quarterbacks in the NFL! here are some rumors I just made up!), either their applicant pool is thin at best or they're lying through their teeth.

As sports blog sites go, sbNation does a much better job and usually has far more talented and connected bloggers than BR.
