About every bar-room on the Cape goes to Buffalo for their road trip. Try them.

Dude A senator will not save you GET A NEW OWNER WITH MONEY LIKE THE PATS DID!!!! YOU NEED A NEW OWNER WHO HAS MONEY TO SPEND. OTHER WISE SEE YA IN LA!!!!!!!!

Man, I hate the Bills. I hated them when they won the AFC 4 straight times, and I hate them now when they struggle year in and year out.

But, I've been to both 31-0 games in 2003. Bruschi made his return against the Bills. Buffalo's got some history, and the AFC East won't be the same if they go. I'm all for them.

I dont know how many of you feel about this (b/c most of you prob. hate the bills)

Why would we hate the Bills? Thats 2 wins a year for the Pats!

Listen, I want the Bill in Buffalo as much as anyone. But I seriously doubt that the new CBA is the problem. Had it not gone through, then the Bills would have been seriously screwed. Congress need not get involved.

I think Ralphs concern over when a "new" owner could be eligible for revenue share is a bit off. The new CBA does not really specify how long that would be. It could be just a month or two or until the start of the new football year.

How would the Bills be seriously screwed? I don't get it.

What Wilson is complaining about is pretty simple to understand. If the players are going to get a cut of all the extras in the big markets, then the salary cap will definitely rise above the level of the smaller franchises. That's Wilson's beef. His enemy is not Kraft, however. It's the players. The players union effectively caused a whole lot of damage to the NFL with this new CBA. In the future, the NFL will look more like the NHL than the NFL now. Some teams will spend to the cap minimum (currently $80m) like Buffalo, while others will spend 50% more.

The only way to even things out for the smaller market teams--if you're going to give the players a cut of extra revenues--is to curtail certain aspects of free agency. Otherwise, you're going to have a Florida Marlins situation in football where all the good young talent in Jax, Buffalo, Cincy and a few other places leave because the team will not max out the cap.

The players are a bit shortsighted here, IMO, because they've just opened up a pandora's box. Now that the revenue is being shared unequally, they've effectively given an excuse for small market owners not to pay up.

Any Given Sunday will be an irrelevant term in the future.

Wilson should sell the rights to his stadium, but $500k a year isn't going to help him spend to the cap.

Kraft is a rich man, but he's not that rich. He bought the Pats cheap. $200 mill. He bought the land for a lark. Then he mortgaged himself to the hilt to build a new stadium. I'm not knocking the guy. He's a good businessman. But he's not Mr. moneybags as far as NFL ownership goes.

The year 2006, an election year, this Knight on a white horse Senator from NY is just trying to get his name in the headlines and up his ratings.

Looks good on a campaign banner "I Tryied to Save the Bills for YOU so VOTE for ME"!!!!!

Typical emotionalism campaigning from a piece of crap politician!!

Sorry Buf fan but your Hero is out for himself, he doesn't care about you the FAN, just his political standing, using you under false pretences to get re-elected.!!!!

Sign the petition and play the fool, sorry not my thing. :singing:

Let the angry replies begin, lol

I would LOVE to see Baltimore in the AFCE instead of Buffalo. Here's hoping the Bills move to Los Angeles ASAP. I wonder what they'd call them. Los Angeles Bills just won't work. Maybe they could rename them the L.A. Slashers in honor of O.J.

Wow what a class act . Funny thing is a couple of us fans posted this on Jets, and Phins sites and they had no problem signing, many of the have respect for football and tradition, and understand how bad the situation could be. To those of you who have signed it thank you

Almost forgot, Chucky S. is behind this. If it comes to no end his name is in the clear, go figure one politician using another, crack me up,....

Awe come on man, most of us are just funnin' with you because you're from a 'rival' team. Jests and Phins fans have been so decimated by mediocrity for so long that many of them don't even have a sense of humor left. (Let's not forget that it's a stretch to assume that Jests and Fish fans actually read the petition they were signing since assuming any significant literacy rate among those two fan bases is pushing it.)

Many of us went through the worry of our team moving to St. Louis or even worse, Connecticut (again, sense of humor [FONT=Verdana,Arial,Geneva]Constitution Staters!) we know where you're coming from, and many can sympathize.

At the same time many of us recognize that:

a) 99.9% of what comes out of a politicians mouth is bologna, and you're falling for it (although I can't blame you... if the Pats went through the rumors of moving again, I'd grab on to anything or anyone that presented themselves as helpful to the cause of keeping them here as well!)

b) your senator most likely cares far more about his image than your team

c) regardless of how many signatures your politician gets, it will have zero impact on the eventual outcome (again, I can't blame you, I'd grab at straws as well in your position)

d) we still haven't seen a picture of a Flying Elvis inked on FootballHottie's backside

Seriously, I'd bet that a good many here, myself included, find value in the historical significance of the Bills, and it just wouldn't seem right to not have them in the AFC East as one of our division 'rivals' as they have been for so long. But really, if a petition from a politician could change the course, don't you think that Cleveland fans would have been able to keep the Browns from moving to Baltimore?

The problem I have with the Bills is twofold: There is an owner who reminds me of welfare recipients always whining about those who have more being unfair instead of doing something about it, and most importantly you have one of the most poorly managed teams in football in absolutely every aspect of the game.

J.P.Loserman... are you serious? Peerless Price for that kind of money? Mike Williams... what? A good corner who wants out right now, A solid fan base who tries, but doesn't have the buying power to sustain a team.

I am all for tradition but when a once proud, powerful dog gets rabies they don't give it extra food, water, and prolong it's life...they shoot the poor thing and put it out of it;s misery.

The only hope the Bills have is new maverick owner with deep pockets, and outstanding management skills. As long as Wilson is at the helm..DOOMED

I'm going to have to disagree with you here on a few of your points. Buffalo as a franchise isn't in the dire straits that either you or Wilson portray. They are still bringing in lots of $. They just aren't bringing in as much as many other NFL teams. In a normal business world, that means the Bills would/should move to a better market, better pasture. But outside of LA, there is no bigger market, and LA has proven its not friendly for football fans. Two teams have moved out of LA in the last decade. Why?

So, don't be so quick to kick the Bills to the curb. They still have a decent fanbase and still make decent money. As long as we're ready for the NFL to become the NHL capwise (i.e. some teams spending $120 million while others spend $80) Buffalo can survive. It might hurt competition, but this is where things seem to be going.

It is indeed a form of welfare, but if there wasn't any welfare in this league, would you bother watching? I mean, there'd be only 4 or 5 teams capable of winning it all. The welfare isn't going into the poor owner's pockets. The wealth is being spread around so that players from all 32 teams can get paid to the max. There's a difference. Kraft isn't subsidizing the Buffalo Bills. He's subsidizing the player's union. We need to look at the NFL as a monolithic business. It's not 32 corporations competing against each other. It's 32 different McDonald's restaurants competing against each other. And they all pay their employees the same wage.

The Bills have actually been managed very well fiscally and stadium-wise. Wilson has done a good job. As for their performance on the field, let me remind you that Kraft was wooing Tom Donahoe to take over the Pats, as well as Marv Levy, before he hired Bill Belichick. Yes, we are literally one Bill Belichick away from Donahoe and Bobby Grier. Now that I've frightened the living hell out of you, have a good night's sleep.

The Bills have filled thier stadium, or nearly, for how many years now? You guys have a great fan base.

I truely hope this whole thing works out for you Buf fans, g/l, but not against us ! ~S~ Buf Fans !

I'm not a complete synic, hopefully.?

Thanks man, heres to an injury free season for you guys :eat2:

No worries mate...

You need not worry.

A Team already exists who has a legal claim on LA.

A Team that has carefully refrained from signing any long term leases for its facilities.

A Franchise that has a legal team carefully document all the breech-of-contract provisons in its current agreements committed by it landlord.

A Tean unafraid of bucking the League with law suits.

A Franchise that ciurrently shares a slightly larger market than yours but when divided is tinier than your market.

A Club with a fan base in LA already partially established.

I refer of course to Al Davis', once and future LA Raiders, currently playing in the Bay Area of San Francisco/Oakland.

Its easier to let one club of a pair leave an area; the politicians gripre less and they have done it before.

The networks would welcome the LA market and embrace the flexibility in serving the Bay Area with only one club, Blackouts occur when either the 9ers or Raiders are playing screws up network exposure in the Bay Area.

The Raiders are going back to LA LA land.

PS:I agree that you are being used and led around by a publicity seeking politician. Post an email address where I can add my (useless) $0.02 signiture elctronically to your petition.

If you can please sign this petition from a senator trying to keep the Bills in Buffalo, Thanks for your time and good luck to an injury free season

Thanks for visiting, evans555.

I very much hope you keep your team. Bills fans have shown passion for their team through some bad times and, though we've sometimes laughed at you (I'm thinking of the welcome parade for Bledsoe) the NFL would be poorer without a franchise in Buffalo, I think. I was always a big fan of Marv Levy and hope that he will help you back to respectability (a decent second place in the division ).

I'm not a voter in the U.S., but I couldn't sign a petition that criticizes the Krafts and describes the CBA as "unfair" -- on the contrary, the NFL is far more generous to poor franchises than any other sports league in the world known to me.

Nevertheless, good luck to you.

I second that..I wish the team to stay in Buffalo..(having seen the team in its AFL days..means a lot)..

There's a certain Bills fan, a young lady by the name of "FootballHottie" that made a bet on this forum last season, and we never heard from her again. You track her down for us, get her to post her picture of a Patriots logo tattooed on her tender young behind, thus satisfying the bet, and we'll sign your petition. Fair?

Can we hold an entire metro region hostage because a young, dumb, troll cheated on a bet?

Oh, yes we can!!

Sorry man, I dont know of "footballhottie" thats pretty lame though that she would do that. If you wouldnt mind signing the petition it would be cool, Jets fans and Phins fans had no problem doing it as i'm sure you guys wont

JEST and Fins fans are stupid. As you can tell, you are dealing with a whole different class of people here.
