It was a bizarro alignment - not that BB hasn't used similar LB heavy sets before...

I wonder how many more times we'll see it - or if it was just a "we're low on DL and we're playing a young unproven QB" type-thing.

I think it was more about the OL than the QB. The Bills had to incorporate new lineman just that week before the game, so they probably didn't have all their signals and assignments 100% squared away. BB took advantage of this by completely disguising what his front seven would be doing on passing downs.

This wouldn't work well against even a team like the Jets, whose QB is just as unproven but has a more solid OL that will keep its composure and assignments straight. It was a great single game gameplan though.
