Now a Jayden Daniels with an Eric Bienemy? That would be interesting.

Now honest question why do you think Bienemy hasn't been hired as a HC?

My take living under the Walrus's substantial shadow? My thoughts.

But no mention of him on the Radar for teams HC jobs.
  • -According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Colorado police arrested Bieniemy and teammate Kanvavis McGhee following a February 1998 bar fight. Bieniemy was charged with disorderly conduct and fighting in public, but he pleaded no contest. He and McGhee each received deferred sentences and performed court-mandated community service.

  • -According to the Orlando Sentinel, Bienemy pleaded no contest after allegedly shoving a firefighter on July 4, 1990. Colorado suspended Bieniemy for one game in the upcoming season.

  • -Colorado police once again arrested Bieniemy, then in the NFL, in September 1993. The Orlando Sentinel reported that Bieniemy allegedly grabbed a female parking attendant by the neck and threatened her.

  • -According to the Daily Bruin, Colorado police arrested Bieniemy on a DUI charge in April 2001, three months after he joined the football staff as a running backs coach. He previously had his driver’s license suspended after numerous violations. Bieniemy was also linked to allegations that Colorado’s football program “used alcohol and sex to lure recruits.” ESPN reported in 2004 that the university discovered there was evidence of drugs and alcohol being used to “entice recruits,” but no university officials were guilty of misconduct.
He's still banned from the Colorado campus, as far as I know.

It's the same reason he will never work for Bob Kraft in any capacity.

Edit - There's more. That should be enough to get the point across.

If they just promote Troy Brown I wil lose it.

What gives you the idea Troy Brown would be considered for OC, or even is qualified?

I hope not, thinking about Krafts wanting to promote within and he’s a career Patriot and ex player so he checks those boxes that Kraft and Mayo may find valuable.

He's been around almost as long as Mayo and Kraft just said how much he likes to promote from within.

From what I've gathered Troy Brown has been an inept WR coach. If he becomes OC I might look for a bridge to jump off.

Meet you at the bottom been here since TB12 left lol

Troy Brown as OC would be the worst choice of all. I think I’d be out on Mayo if he did that.

A lot of folks love the idea of Welker as OC but what makes him qualified? Do we have any reason to believe he can actually be more than a receivers coach? There’s a big gap there between the roles

We already have an all time great ex-Patriots receiver as the current WR coach, should he be the OC?
He learned under Shannahan and then McDaniel. I'm sure he picked up a few tricks, but yea not sure.

I found Bienemy interesting for the first 7 games or so of the season when Howell and that offense were doing pretty decent. They cratered badly afterwards.

Zac Robinson, I wouldn’t hate Josh Mcdaniels I really respect his loyalty to the Pats.
But it’s almost a given Josh is going with Bill to Atlanta.
He'll have to fight Patricia for the OC job. He put on a ton of weight in Vegas, Elvis style, so he has a chance.

Don't bring Josh in let him go with Bill it's time to move away from this offense that has never worked anywhere without Brady, it's gotten too complex for anyone to run at a high level.

We need an offense that's more QB and young WR friendly.
Remember when they had to simplify it for Patricia/Judge? Lol, good times.

Caley is an interesting name, after a year in the Rams system.

Don't forget that some guys are just built more to be coordinators or position coaches.

If it somehow IS Troy Brown, maybe he's a better schemer than he is a hands-on position coach. I mean, McDaniels is a MUCH better coordinator than head coach. Hell, go back, and it's guys like Romeo Crennel showing you that some are just better suited to different roles.
Dude, read the room. A black OC? Some folks will burn down the forum.

I think all signs point to the team going in a totally different direction offensively. I’m really curious what direction - I don’t think there’s been any word on interview candidates yet.

You were right with that prediction.

I mean, he's already back.
Yeah he was standing next to the rest of the media while Mayo said they needed good leaders and people who don’t whine, ***** and finger point on offense…(it was pretty sad).hardly anyone expects Mac to be back here next year from what is being said….move him for a 5th or so
