Bill’s first offer…

He's basically like a "rental" at his age. Would I want my team to bring in a 71 year old coach where you'll be looking for another coach in a couple years.

Nope... don't care who he is. I think the market for him is a lot smaller than we think.
Exactly correct. It's hard to see Bill going through the rigors of the " new age NFL " I don't think he will adapt at another organization especially after telling people close to him that it's to much work to go to another organization a d have to reorganize the front office. Yeah... I'd rather see him just retire.

Disagree. No reason to think he can’t adapt, except ageist bias. I figure he’s got 3 years left, give or take a couple. If he lands in the right place that could be another twenty wins, maybe thirty. Definitely enough to pass Shula, and maybe another couple of Lombardis. Patriots hired Mayo as LB coach in March 2019, he was made HC in less than 5 years. In three years Bill could easily develop his successor, given almost any previous coaching experience as foundation. Not a bad rental. How many NFL coaches last more than 3 years anyway? I don’t know but I’m guessing maybe half?

I thought about it yesterday but it is insane someone in that org leaked this ahead of a playoff game.
Oh, some terrible franchise a decade away from contention would probably offer it.
If Bill couldn't rebuild the Pats what makes you think he will rebuild some terrible franchise?

Schef reports Falcons have interviewed Bill.

Bill is smart... this isn't his last offer.

The season will end before we know for sure.

I'm hoping Jerry Jones takes his testosterone shot for the week.... takes 3 viagras and yells at the dallas cowboys cheerleaders for being too fat.

Then calls Bill and says keys to the kingdom... for 2 years.

I want Bill to get his wins...

I want the cowboys to be America's team one more time.

Being a Patriot fan now also means being a fan of those who made the dynasty.

Worth the conversation, but would be a fool’s move going to Falcons over some of these other higher caliber teams that will need a HC.

If the rumors that the Eagles' coach's job really isn't safe, it seems 100% the perfect fit for Belichick.

Talented as hell team ready to win now, good tough quarterback whose presence doesn't overshadow team, experienced but need to go over the edge, tough, East Coast, Patricia already there, little competition in conference....

The end of season will answer all of our questions... Philly would be as good as dallas.

Atlanta makes no sense when they don't have a QB, and deep down Belichick must know that not having a QB is what ultimately did him in with the Pats.

Eagles fans I know think they’re very thin on talent, and getting long in the tooth. Heard enough of that to be thinking Dallas Is the place.

thing is, I’m sure Bill is doing a thorough job of scouting all the contenders, to rank the contenders, and that’s going to be a solid foundation for him wherever he goes. He’ll know better than any of us whether the Eagles are over the hill, or if Atlanta has issues other than QB, etc. it’ll be an interesting process to watch.

QBs can be acquired. At least, if the owner is on board with that idea.

1st order of business for Bill is to make Fat Matt the OC.

It's a bit jarring reading that Bill interviewed for Atlanta. I just thought some team would offer him the role.
