If you asked a Jet fan..it would be the hated Patriots....

Their Super Bowl is played 2 times a year....:rocker:

Colts and Manning vs Pats and Brady is best rivalry matchup in decade.....

I say Colts as well. Even though beating or losing to the Jets plays a much bigger role in our post season situations for the most part. We need to beat the Jets more than we needed to beat Colts.

I hope the Jets get killed by the Steelers.

the jets....end of story

the colts rivalry is a one trick pony (manning) they didn't matter before manning and they won't matter after manning....they will be irrelevant soon.....sooner if manning does not re-sign with the colts

the jets rivalry had a gap under the herm edwards regime, but otherwise has been on fire with ryan, mangini, mo lewis, curtis martin, bill parcells......

Unless they realign the divisions again, its Jets, Fins and Bills. Colts and other AFC teams take a second seat to the teams in the division.

I hate both teams, but when the Pats lose to the Colts it's easier to swallow knowing that we were beat by Brady's equal and one of the best QBs for all time, meaning they are the biggest rival. When we lose to the Jets it just burns because of their idiotic coach, players and moronic fan base.

Colts truthfully. New England has owned the Jets like there's no tomorrow in recent times. Until they start winning their fair share of games and perform in the NFL they don't have a patch on what Manning and the Colts games have been.

That said I dislike the Jets far more than the Colts.

The Jets have split their two regular season games with the Pats since 2008. Not sure you can call that "ownage like there's no tomorrow".

I'm old school. The Jets and it's not even close.

The Colts rivalry has an advantage in the sense that the game is an annual "event" vs a division game that will happen twice a year.

However, I do hope the league stays with the concept that we visit the Meadowlands every Week Two.

I can't believe almost half think Jets are our biggest rival.

It boggles the mind!

Uh, perhaps because we play them at least twice a season and they're our chief competition within the division year after year? Because they're only 200 miles away? They created spygate? Tuna quit us to go there? The list goes on. I think it boggles the mind to think the Colts could be our biggest rival.

let the Jets beat us a BUNCH more times - and they can be called rivals - until then Colts..

Because of their high level of success over the past decade, it's easliy the Colts. When it comes time to knock heads in the playoffs, the Colts have pretty much always been there, not the Jets.

Recently wehave played the Colts every year and sometimes 2X per year. But that is mostly becasue both teams have been winners and play 1st place schedules. Certainly a rivalry has developed in recent years. But if they finish second and we finish first in our divisions, we might not even play them unless we play the AFC South.

So it's the Jets. They are our closest divison rival and we always play them 2 X per year- sometimes 3. I don't see how anyone can pick the Colts as our "biggest rival". This year the bad blood is really flowing between the Patriots and the Jets.

The Colts. That could change, but it's the Colts right now and has been for a while.

i hate them both, but the rats i hate the most!

The Jets. The Colts rivalry (while still bringing great games all the time) is no longer as heated and bitter a rivalry than what we have with the Jets.

Deep down I think you'll find few Patriots players who respect the Jets. We hate them, I think our players hate them. The feelings are mutual on both sides. I feel more satisfied beating the Jets than I do the Colts at this point.

Despite our rivalry with the Colts I think we have come to have respect for Manning and how he has been a monkey on our back for the past 5 years. The Jets...well all I can say is that these two organizations have the utmost hatred or each other and it'll be really exciting if we meet the Jets on MNF with 9-2 records.

But I wont get too ahead of myself...we have the Lions and we ought to have learned that any given Sunday any team can win.

Two years ago I would have said the Colts. The Colts used to burn me up to no end. Now they bore me. I was so excited for the game on Sunday but watching it seemed different. I no longer felt that hate and vitriol against them. When the Jets pulled that miracle win out of their ass AGAIN on sunday for the 4th week in a row. I realized how much I hated them. But being in Kentucky I'm surrounded by colts fans (I work in Indiana) and I hate thier fans so much.

I tend to agree with this. Colts/Pats is Red Sox/Yankees 2010. Still good, but there isn't the bad blood

Pats/Jets is Celtics/Sixers 1982

This is the only year since 2002 the Jets have truly worried me. The losses in 06/08/09 felt like upsets but by season's end we were clearly better (except maybe 09 which is debateable). The Colts have been a legit threat every year since '03 even though we've gotten the better of them, no win in that time was guaranteed and they've beaten us 5 times, once in the playoffs(which the Jets haven't done). So decade wise i say Colts, for this year itself the Jets.

Today the Colts, tomorrow maybe Cleveland. NE's primary rival will always be an AFC team. If one of the other teams in the division begins contending consistently for the division, then they have a head start on the rest of the AFC, but for now Indy is the team who most consistently challenged NE for the AFC Championship
