Tragic. Rooted for the guy to succeed early on, but agreed with the controversial decision to cut him. Then I second guessed myself as GM BB failed to find competent replacements having stupidly cut Sanders as well. Now with 20-20 hindsight I can see what the Pats coaches feared. The guy is un-coachable and un-repentant. He needs to be stopped before we have another Daryl Stingley. I saw that play.

He sucks and he is one of the dirtiest players in the NFL today. I would just cut his ass and move on. People like him shouldn't be allowed to headhunt in the NFL.

Watched him in an earlier game this year, hard to believe that the Redskins keep him out there with the frequency he uses dirty helmet hitting tactics.

I rooted for Meriweather when he was here and had hoped he could develop I to a top flight safety for the Patriots. That said, you have to be a special type of moron to keep delivering helmet to helmet hits given the current environment in the NFL.

Maybe Meriweather didn't pay much attention to the concussion lawsuit or former players committing suicide, but he should be aware of the defenseless receiver guidelines and all the penalties and fines he's picked up over the last few seasons. Apparently none of that has had an impact on him.
