Let's use this thread to talk about CB, PTP and other **** Capt Stone wants to ***** about.

So Farley already opted out. Idk I don't blame these kids. No surprises that NFL is #1 priority so I don't think it hurts them a ton there. Everyone knows what's up there. It's a joke.

I do think *if* the # grows larger more players will just step up and get noticed. College coaches are some of the most insane people on earth. Honestly some of the stories I've heard have me goosebumps. These guys will absolutely be ready. There's no shortage of talent at most of these schools. You're replacing a 5* with another 5*. Besides those **** are almost useless nowadays. There's too much talent, too many guys to really get a handle on that way and like anything else some hype is involved along the way.
Same as NFL. For the most the replacement is just as good or better than " good enough" to get the job done. The drop off is always exaggerated.

This looks like a solid group imo. Shame we won't get a regular season but this looks like a group with top-end talent and some depth. After taking a quick peek it's deeper than I first thought. At least 9+ months out.

How I graded the position ... I hate 2017. I think about it every single day. Mostly just the rush class but that is probably my worst year by #'s if I had to bet. Definitely not happy about some of those grades.

I was about to write that seeing Patrick Surtain Jr on the list makes me feel old...until I saw Asante Samuel Junior...Now I feel Really old...

Good call in 2016 holding Jonathan Jones in higher regard than Cyrus the Virus, whose value for me didn't begin until the end of the 3rd/early 4th rounds...

I wouldn't beat myself up too badly regarding 2017...for example I really liked Jordan Willis and thought he would've been a terrific pick at 72 before the trade-down...and I also liked local dude Obi-Won and might've picked him ahead of Willis if he were still available, but I saw him more as the Big Nickel whom Bill thinks he's getting in Uncle Dugg than as a CB...

When you've seen their fathers entire career and now the kid its a kick in the **** for sure.

Its so early but I can't stop thinking we're going to be looking heavy at DL/CD early next year. Jesus we need a stud DL in the worst way.

Like this CB class a lot more than the past class, which I found awful

Like Wade, Lucas, and Samuel Jr. the most...Surtain Jr, Farley, and Adebo are all hyped too

I really like the two from South Carolina. They appear equally adept in cover 1 and 2.

we have had very good luck recently with South Carolina defensive backs.

Adebo was pretty bad last year. He looks scheme specific to me. He was run all over the place. Deep, short. Just a bad year.

I wish I got to see more Farley. He looked liked he was putting it together in both zone/man. Fabulous in zone, killer instincts and really looked like he could be a great overall corner.

I have to take a closer look, but seems to me there has been some unbelievable CB play around the NCAA (unsure of draft purposes), way more than usual

Bryant is the only one eligible I believe but I really like Bush. He's a playmaker, versatile, nose for the ball. All three have stood out.

Off the top of my head, should be a good class: Caleb Farley, VT; Patrick Surtain, Alabama; Shaun Wade, Ohio State; Asante Samuel Jr, FSU; Paulson Adebo, Stanford; Chase Lucas, Arizona; I know I'm missing plenty more...2 App. State kids too

By contrast, I personally thought last year's CB class was horrendous

The two Georgia corners got lit up by the Alabama receivers. Their stock is probably going to drop.

I'll talk about each at some point but all seem like guys we'd look at.

Surtain looked terrible today! Technique was really sloppy!

Is this guy playing with 100 percent of what he’s got, or is he just trying to get through the year uninjured!

Might not be the best CB but he's one of my fav. Always fall hard for nickel's.

Love this projected CB class, handful of legitimate CB1s

Chase Lucas is my sleeper

He's a player. Him the APP St kids are players. I like Noah Daniels as well.

Both APP ST kids are interesting, curious if the younger one enters

Between Coastal, Liberty, BYU, and APP ST, I've never paid so much attention to smaller schools

Duke had a pair of two scrappy CBs too, could be worth a Day 3 pick

I have 5 corners in this draft with first round grades. This draft is really top heavy at corner, some really good ones will go early and then a steep drop off.

surtain of Alabama - he started the year really slow like the rest of the Alabama defense, but ended the year as a true lock down corner. All pro material.

horn of South Carolina - really good in man and also capable in zone. Playmaker with a nose for the ball.

Kendrick of Clemson - he started slow this season, but has become an impressive shut down corner.

Samuel of Florida state - proved he is the real deal with an outstanding season.

Farley of Virginia tech - opted out this season but has outstanding 2019 tape.
