Better BB Rookie Draft Class 2003 or 2010

2010 hands down, this draft is the deepest and most talented ever seen.. all of these guys are impressive and long term solutions...

In looking back, 05 draft was pretty damn good.

Mankins-ProBowl starter
Hobbs-starter (but a nickle/dime DB at best. Solid return guy
Kazur-starter
Sanders-Key player in the secondary
Cassel-starter got 2nd rd pick

Another part of this draft class is that if remember correctly, most were team captains... so on paper they were used to some type of leadership roles..

Could find it somewhere on this forum, but remember threads about it after the draft..

I wonder the correlation between missing/early exit the playoffs and good draft.
Does the extra time give BB time to travel and meet and get to know these players better? Change in scouting personnel? Change in decision making panel?

I just took a ride on the Wayback Machine and am going to make another comparison: 2009-10-11 will be = or > the 1994-95-96 drafts that paved the way for Dynasty I:

  • 1994: Willie McGinest
  • 1995: Ty Law, Ted Johnson, Curtis Martin, Jimmy Hitchock, Dave Wohlabaugh
  • 1996: Terry Glenn, Lawyer Milloy, Tedy Bruschi
