Either Gaffney or Lloyd. Went with Lloyd on the poll but it's close and I'll gladly take both.

Lloyd was my binkie, he makes the O much harder to defend.

Hightower and Jones may not have a large impact this year, so Lloyd it is for me.

I also think Fells is very important to provide some depth at TE, the lack of a 3rd TE option and an impact WR cost us a SB.

I was very excited when they added him. Hopefully today's injury turns out to be nothing.

Moving up for defensive help in the draft = awesome
Adding a bunch of savvy vets in FA = smart

Extending Rob Gronkowski through 2019 = priceless

They've done a lot of fantastic things, but signing Lloyd is the move that is going to push the offense over the top and make McDaniels the offensive coordinator of the two highest-scoring offenses of all time. I don't like the wording of "long bomb threat," though, because Lloyd is going to make a ton of plays that aren't "long bombs," but are still a piece that this offense was missing a year ago.

Signing FAs is easy. Lloyd was a no brainer. He even stated that he wanted to follow Josh where ever he went. Moving up in the draft took some savvy trade talk and paid off. Signing Gronk into the distant future was genius. Working out that deal took experience, negotiating power and every trick in the book. IMO that was the best move.

Lloyd and Gronkowski deals were no brainers. Trading up twice in the first round was a pleasant surprise and I think we got 2 really good players.

All of them were great moves...except signing Stallworth which may or may not be good. Glad to see Josh back and ridding the O of Ocho early gives the other WR more reps to improve.

Loved to see BB actually move UP in the draft to grab 2 guys that should improve the defense in the near future.

a. Locking up Gronk has got to be the most far-reaching, look-to-the-future move bar none. He won't be catching passes from TFB forever, but he'll make nearly any QB look better. Stay healthy, Rob!
b. Glad to see Ocho moving on with a contract (he was far less the disaster than Haynesworth), he was no good here.
c. BLloyd signing was awesome, hope he flourishes with TFB, but we'll see come January whether that bucket holds water. I am a bit pessimistic with receivers that come to NE, whether by draft or by trade, for obvious reasons. It's frustrating!!

McDaniels for mine. That's a two pronged measure. 1. BB can annihilate the defense. 2. The offense will be taken care of. Always have to side with great coaching.

Applying franchise tag to Wes Welker. I know it may not seem like that big of a decision, but it was a decision none the less. Considering that the two sides have yet to agree to a contract extension you could surmise that Welker would have been on another team for the last three months had the Pats not franchised him, and every other thread on this site would have been debate on how the team is going to replace his production.

I really want to say "Jonathan Fanene", because he played some real quality football for the Bengals whilst not being a starter. If given the chance to start he could become an absolute powerhouse.

However, easy move or not, the signing of Lloyd is without any doubt the best move we've made so far. He's a superb player who not only knows the offense, but has excelled in it. Put him next to one of the greatest QB's of all time, and you have a recipe for breath-taking production, not only for him, but for the team.

voted for Gronk - has immediate and long term impact. Not just as a player, but also as a signal for cap mgmt and ability to clear the financial negotiations table for other deals to be done.

the 1rnd draft picks look great; but they are unproven. we know how that can go in the not for long league; injuries, don't learn, do something stupid off the field..... BB does his best but you never know. And they are rookies so their short-term impact is bound to be less than Gronk. I think long term in 2 years maybe just by 2 players vs 1 gronk they are likely to have greater impact than Gronk in that season.

Lloyd. Yes, I really hope this proves me wrong and is actually a better deal than Gronk; but MY FEAR is....

Lloyd has more made his money (yds/TDs) by being the guy who can take the ball away from the defender [athleticism at the catch] and/or getting away as plays break down rather than getting immediate separation.

Brady (mostly) does not throw to a pre-determined point; he surveys the field and throws to the guy he sees is or believes will be open. Lloyd may very well be "OPEN" by Lloyd's definition - covered by a guy he can take the ball away from/keepthe ball from. But what does Brady see???

Brady may well see 'coverage' and go somewhere else. So while I am confident Lloyd will exceed 'Ocho' production; I am not so confident that he will dynamically change the offensive distribution. BUT I AM HOPEFUL THAT I WILL BE WRONG. (call it a concern versus fear if you will).
