2nd year. Still room for a ton of growth and improvements. But overall how have you see him this year?

Playing about 30-45% of snaps over the first 8 games.

Nothing has been glaring either way. I think he's been solid, but is lost in the shuffle of bigger names (Hightower, Van Noy, Collins), and specialists (Roberts for runs, Winovich on 3rd down). I think he could do more if we hit a few injuries. The depth at LB is just delicious right now.

Agreed. Hard to really put a grade on him this year. His stats ovbsouly are skewed becasue lack of playing time.

My coworker was listening to Felger and Mazz yesterday so I was forced to listen in...(Pathetic show) and Mazz was all over Bentley for regressing this year. He's only plays like 25 or 30% of snaps most games. Just look at the stats just once. Clowns

pretty damn solid.

It’s hard to justify taking Van Noy, Collins, and Hightower off the field for much more than a breather. Bentley is still a young developing player who flashed in his rookie year pre injury. I’m glad we’re finally getting back to having some quality depth in the front seven and I think it’s a major reason for the play of the defense as a whole.

Huge difference between Bentley coming off the bench vs. Roberts. Bentley has had a few plays where he stood out for getting lost in the trash or having a hard time disengaging from blocks. But, a lot of other times I noticed him clogging a hole (hehe), covering a back, getting solid pressure, or laying a nice hit. I don’t see anything to complain about, then again, I’m not a member of the media in beantown.

A name for the future. He’s an incredible insurance. If someone goes down the drop off wouldn’t be substantial.

It's amazing the bull$hit those two throw against the wall based on absolutely nothing as a I guarantee neither one of them have made it a point to watch any of his snaps.

High, Jamie and KVN have been getting the snaps and no one should be surprised or have an issue with it. Part of me thinks he and Roberts could have helped a little vs Chubb on Sunday but I can't justify taking High/Jamie/KVN off the field when they were still pretty much controlling the game in the 2nd 1/2.

From what I’ve seen of him, he looks fairly good. No crazy plays yet no big mishaps.

I feel like he was better last year. He's made some poor choices in filling gaps that has led to big plays. I've been unimpressed.

This is basically what it comes down to. If you need a run stuffer, you're playing Roberts. If you need a motor guy to rush the passer, you're playing Winovich. Bentley can do a bit of both, but so can High/Van Noy/Collins, and they have experience (plus are playing off the charts overall). Not to mention if we're in a dime package with only 2 LB's, we're already giving one of those three a blow.

Honestly, 25-30% of the snaps for Bentley is pretty good. I like that we didn't need to throw him into a 70-80% role coming off his injury.

Apparently they claimed the Browns outplayed the Pats.

From what I've seen he's decisive and attacks the LOS. Hits like a truck too.

If he can square up Lamar this Sunday it might end it for him.

Also said if the Browns didn't turn the ball over on 3 straight drives..have 34 false starts they could have won.

No matter how they win it's. Well if the other team scored 40...Pats would have lost. No s****

My buddy loves the show and then uses all of their takes and just goes with it. Horrible show that is based solely on being Dbags for ratings.

Similar to how I see JoJuan Williams (though not to the same number of snaps degree/rookie vs. year 2, etc).

The spectacular depth is keeping some of the young 'uns on the sideline.

We'll need these guys in a year or two.......

Yep. I don't have an issue with Bentley. Hes a reserve who is playing 20% of the snaps. If he was fanning on tackles or over-pursuing then thats a different issue. Its notable hes playing ahead of Roberts.

I don’t know about that, Hightower, KVN and Collins have all played at a pro bowl level. Bentley would be solid though.

He's barely a year removed from surgery for a torn bicep.. let's give him a little more time.

....wait a second, didn't we draft Bentley last year? and he got hurt before season started and missed all year? WTH was he regressing from? his baseline is this year as it's his first year

he's essentially a rookie, he's doing fine if he can even make it on the field w/ this group
