Belichick on WEEI right now

Re: bellichick on weei right now

Sounds pretty relaxed, even complaining about how the officials do certain things (would like them to explain things because coaches cannot hear what they announce over the mics).

Re: bellichick on weei right now

I'm listening. He sounds very relaxed and in a good mood. He loves to answer questions when its about football. However about off the field issues? Forget it.

Re: bellichick on weei right now

Praising Buffalo as expected.

Re: bellichick on weei right now

Best comment was when somebody asked if Defensive signals are changed up every week...

"They are when we're giving them."

:singing:

Yeah, he kind of had that "you'd have to be an idiot not to" chuckle in his voice when he said it too.

Re: bellichick on weei right now

how lucky are we hes the coach of the patriots?hes a walking talking football computer .there is more football knowledge in his brain than the rest of the leagues football coaches combined

He didn't complain about the officials. He went out of his way to praise the officials and say how he appreciated how Ed "biceps" hochuli keeps control of a game and doesn't lose control. What he was saying is that when an NFL official makes an announcement he can't hear that because of the crowd noise. He said the there have been a couple times where he was upset on the sidelines while in NE, and they are all related to this...not being able to know what's going on in the game.

I must say I look forward to this interview every week....and the big show does a great job with it!

Agreed. He is so much more comfortable talking to the Big Show guys. Ask him good questions and you'll get a very good discussion out of him.

Hochuli is great. You could tell, though, that as soon as he made his announcement last night after picking up the holding flag -- "there is no penalty on the play, the defender was just overwhelemed" or something -- that he wished he didn't say it.

That's an actual quote? Haha...hilarious, I missed that one. What was the situation?

maybe complain wasn't the right word (semantics) but he did talk about how he wished they would explain things to coaches more clearly

One of the trully embrassing things about last year was Ed Hochuli, the BEST ref in the NFL, did 0 playoff games. Good job NFL

He said over powered. It was pretty damn funny.

A flag was thrown in an apparent hold against a Charger player (apparent at the time with a brief showing of it). The look on BB's face after hearing that explanation was priceless. Hochuli explained to us that it wasn't holding, the defender was simply over powered lol

There was a flag that looked to be holding on San Diego. He came on the mic and said, "There is no flag on the play. There was no holding, the defender was just overpowered."

It was pretty damn funny.

Re: bellichick on weei right now

I love our coach so much

I think the interview yesterday on the Big Show yesterday was one of the best they have done.

They initially asked BB about BB inviting Lenny Clarke into the locker room to lighten things up and it turned into a roast of BB. BB was laughing...saying he loved Lenny Clarke. BB said Junior gave an incredibley inspiring speech to the team. Yesterday...I believe it was Wilfork, said Junior has a career in motivational speaking when he is done with football.

They then went on to discuss using signals...etc etc...Highlight line was BB saying that if you are well prepared you don't need to steal signals.

This interview is a must listen.
