BB THE GOAT

Lol don't be mad pal
just having fun besides no need to have a back and forth with you neither of us will budge in our opinion on the coach vs QB importance
This whole thread is a complete documentation of unswayed opinions and beliefs.

At the end of the day you either believe BB is the greatest HC & GM of all-time or you don't.

There is a discussion happening. The fact that one side is ignorant and misguided doesn’t change that it’s happening.

Based on results, which is the only yardstick, belichick is the greatest coach ever. If you want to debate Lombardi, Brown, Walsh due to era or longevity, it’s a reasonable discussion. Saying Andy Reid is a better coach than Bill Belichick is so stupid that it’s clear you aren’t serious and are just wasting people’s time.
Conveniently avoided my question using your logic, do you agree Bill belichick isn’t a top 15 coach in the league currently?

Andy Reid is unfortunately coaching laps around Bill right now, agree? Wonder what changed.

Ya that’s basically a forum, still fun to pass time though

Belichick is the greatest coach ever.

Reid is not even close.

This didn’t answer my question with your logic, I’ll ask again, where does BB rank in your current best coaches in the league list? You offered the logic, I’m testing your consistency

Belichick is the greatest coach of all time. I have answered that numerous times.

Why are you afraid of discussion? You suggested the logic and don’t want to answer a question using it. Odd

I AM discussing it. Based upon the appropriate criteria Belichick is the greatest coach of all time. You keep asking the question, I keep answering and you keep asking again saying I didn’t answer.
Do you really feel that this is what other members of the board feel is the type of thread they want?

I’m asking you, based on your criteria, is belichick a top 15 coach in the league today? Use your criteria

And if there was 28 pages before I posted here, you don’t have to respond, people don’t have to read it. It’s a forum, you aren’t policing the traffic. I never told you that you’re opinion was wrong, but you have told me I was wrong multiple times now, I’m here for discussion…you’re here to repeat your opinion over and over and avoid discussion. You’re afraid of criticism, its why you took a break when you realized the team stunk

Asked and answered. If you are the greatest of all time you are also the greatest of all the current coaches. Shocking that this must be explained to you.

As for your second paragraph there is pretty much nothing in it that has any value, so I will not respond to it and allow you to further detail the thread.

This is a cop out of epic proportions, congrats on the sidestepping. You’d agree if Peyton manning stepped on the field today he’d be a top 2 quarterback too right?

You’ve responded to 3 pages of me asking you questions you refuse to answer, you derailed it long ago

You are simply trolling.

Nothing in this post has any relationship to reality.

35 different NFL Head Coaches have won at least one Super Bowl. The Super Bowl has been played 57 times. It is really freaking hard to win a Super Bowl.
I'll choose the guy that has won it the most.
Coaches coach players, players play the game. I want a coach that is dedicated to teaching and has a team first attitude and seeks out players to fit their style. I want a coach willing to be flexible enough to change things up when things aren't working and have the courage and brilliance to choose an unproven low draft pick over a "superstar" when the decision seems risky to those on the outside looking in.
We know so little about what it takes to be an NFL coach that it is ludicrous that people dig in so deeply as if they know what would lead to better result if a certain player played in a crucial game or moment. Who knows better than the HC? If BB thinks a particular player is not ready physically or mentally, then I will go with his call over some fan sitting on their couch watching the games. All I know is that BB has coached the Patriots to 9 SB's and in every single game we were never outclassed, and the players and coaches have BB to thank for being properly prepared. Those games were exciting, frustrating, thrilling, joyous, sad, and every emotion in between. I am forever thankful that BB was, and still is our coach. He is still (from my limited perspective) a great teacher and mentor that players (not al) love playing for, and I hope he coaches for many years to come.

I’m very much not trolling, you’ve turned opinions into facts and decided that’s how discussions work, eliminating discussion. I’m using your logic now, you don’t seem to like it. Funny how quickly that worked

You are not using my logic or anything close to it.
Feel free to not accept my answer, but it’s childish to keep asking for it 100 times when it’s been thoroughly answered.

@Ring 6 @All3Phases
Just a suggestion, but maybe you both should either stop communicating with each other or try to identify the many things that you agree on that you are not seeing.
I know it is hard to have these public spats, but I wish you two the best and hope you get through this tough patch in your relationship.

Your logic-results end all be all
My question using your logic—is belichick a top 15 coach in the nfl today? Reasoning, more than 15 teams won more games than the patriots in 2022, logic=results say no.

You haven’t thoroughly answered anything other then why you think he’s the greatest coach ever. I haven’t asked that question once

As I have said, no coach wins every year, a coach is judged upon the totality of his career.

Again, you’ve now moved your logic, and I asked why we don’t do that with players, such as Peyton. Peyton is one of the greatest quarterbacks ever, would he be the best 1-3 qbs in the league if stepped on the field today?

I’m guessing he wouldn’t be, but that would go against your logic

Even better, we both agree Joe Gibbs was the best coach in the league in 2004, correct?
