Bill Belichick got his coaching start with the Colts

One blurb near the bottom confused me.

The Colts finished 10-4 and lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the playoffs during Belichick’s lone season on staff. Irsay invited members of the 1975 team to the Colts' facility in Indianapolis about three years ago to give them division championship rings for winning the AFC East that year and to reminisce about the season. Belichick couldn’t make it, but Irsay made sure to send a ring to the coach.
Is this just a Colts thing? I don't recall anyone else giving out a ring for winning a division, let alone 25 years ago. But maybe it's what the Colts do because they can't celebrate a real championship...

Lower expectations, that way, everyone is a winner....

Yup, Divisional championship ring ceremony 3 years ago for 1975. BB couldn't make it. Where does one keep all their participation rings?

That's very colts. I think they just like having lots of banners, do the patriots even have any recognition of their division titles and conference titles at the razor?

I believe these are collected and used at Mardi Gras.

Yup he has a banner up of it in his office.

I am thinking in the visiting lockers room, just as a message, even though we had lost those games, we still been better than you...

This weekend all Colts players get this:

At least winning a division is an actual championship.

You get a hat and t-shirt for it.

You don't get them for being "AFC Finalist" or "AFC Wild Card"

Pats call it T-shirt game, that's how important it is. Colts give out rings.....man Kraft is cheap.....
