They just did a very in depth analysis on NFLN on the Pats O line.
I can't really go in to detail but let me tell you something.
These guys have their sh!t together.

It doesn't hurt when you have two or more deep threat wide receivers either, keeping nickle and dime packages of DBs FAR away from the O Line...

I think these guys deserve a helluva lot more credit for last year when play after play after play saw the DBs stacked on the line to pressure Brady, without fear of being burned by a deep pass.

Brady took a lot of hits last year and felt a lot of heat - but the fact that they kept him healthy and gave him enough time to complete even the short passes is something that they should get credit for.

So I just don't look at this year as anywhere near the same challenge for them as last year was, regardless of all the accolades they are getting now - but better late than never.

Those are good points, JSP. I was just amazed at how well they all
performed their assignments as the slo mo replays showed.
It was just poetry in collision.

I love that show Playbook with Brian Baldinger and Sterling Sharpe. Baldinger is really, really good. I hope they have more of him and Mike Mayock and get rid of Marshall Faulk and Terrell Davis.

How come the Sharpe who can speak a language is the one doing the obscure TV show while the one with marbles in his mouth is on a national set?

I call Cablevision at least once a month demanding NFL Network. The best I can do is a SlingBox connection at my brother's house in California.

Which show did the feature on the o-line?

Watching film of the Pats offensive line work is like watching a well-oiled machine. They move around so well and they really look out for one another.

It was sink or swim in 2006. And they swam. It's kind of like how the young Pats players were battle tested due to all the injuries in 2003 and 2004, and how it all came together in the end in the play-offs.

Yup. It all culminated to be an even more experienced and
more aware O-line for this year. Continuity in personell is important too.
Pats have that.
I guess that may be why Brady was smiling like the cat who swallowed the canary all pre season. It isn't just that they got these great recievers and Randy but also
the knowledge of how well he knew his line was going to play.

good for them, the O-line deserves all the props they get. been underappreciated way too long.

Baldinger appears once a week (Mondays or Tuesdays) on "Out of Bounds" on Comcast's CN8. He and **** Stockton are one of Fox's TV crews. I also like Baldinger and agree with your take on Baldinger/Mayock vs. Faulk/Davis.

I no linger get NFLN because Comcast is a bunch of fascists.

Same here.

By the way, my schedule says week 17 Vs. the Giants is on NFL network. Is that true? That would mean I cannot see the game unless I pony up more funds to comcast (fat chance).

Sorry if this has been discussed before.

Particularly mysterious because Sterling's better looking, too. Guess he's not "provocative" enough.

Local games are always available via simulcast on local stations, usually WCVB 5. This is true of Monday Night games on ESPN for example. The idea being you shouldn't even need Basic Cable to see your own team.

Did you really know the answer or did you just make that up? Everywhere else I look seems to say that I am SOL.

Games in the team's home market are always on free TV unless they are playing at home and have not had a sellout.

I love the NFL Network. It's worth paying for in my opinion. Fortunately I have the platinum package so it includes it. If it didn't, I would probably subscribe.

The cable companies are banking on that. Get DirecTV. You will pay less and you won't be disappointed.
