F'k him. It's not his money. He can take his opinions and go to hell. I'm sick of the Boston Media.
Reiss and Curran are the only guys that I have any use for.

well, judging from history, the Pats seem to think spending to the limit makes sense for their team since that is basically what they have done in the past. So, by not using all their cap money this year are defying their very own logic. Calling a disgrace is perjorative judgement, I'll admit. But even an unbiased assessment begs the question of why the Patriots haven't used all their cap space when that has been their M.O? Considering the players due new contracts like Samuel and Graham, and the opportunity to lock up their best WR, as well as passing on significant FA's, their own and otherwise, the massive vault of unused money does exactly have an easy explanation.

His his qualifier, "if the team enters the season with more the 10 mill in salary cap," is important to consider since all of this money could be wisely spent before then. I'd give a break on this one...

well...its a catch 22 situation, if they spend the limit but without value , the pats get questioned about their selections like last yr with starks, beisel etc. if if they dont find value in spending money then they are acting cheap...writers want bb to sign the next harrison, phifer etc...i would ask felger, if he has 10 mill dollars now what is he going to spend on Branch, next ?

Becoming more and more irrelevant every day...

What a ********! But, in Red Sox town that's the way to build an audience.

And, that is all he's doing.

They can use their cap dollars anytime during the season, right up until the season is over, or did the brilliant Felger forget to mention this fact?

Also, we still have a month to go before the season starts or did he not realize what day it is?

He has been so critical of the Patroits letting their older veterans (Willie, Adam) and overpaid Givens get away, when not too long ago he was saying the team was old and lacks youth. So we go with youth from the past 2 drafts and he then says we lack depth.

Man oh man am I sick of this guy, ever since he went on he air he developed this Hollywood style pretty boy act and stopped reporting. I do not know why he turned against this team, unless he has decided the Borges manner of any press, good or bad, for a media whore such as the two of them, brings him the attention he seeks.

Too bad he lost our respect in the process.

Felger and my wife should shop together.

her -- "Let's buy that."

me -- "why?!?"

her -- "Why not, we can afford it"

me -- "yeah, but why?!?"

her -- "Why are you making a big deal out of it? We've got the money!"

me -- "yes dear, I know... but what the hell are we going to do with it?"

her -- "why are you being like this? I see the checkbook, I KNOW we can afford it"

me -- "what aren't you understanding? Why do we NEED this thing? You've never even mentioned WANTING one of these before!"

yada yada yada.

The disgrace will be if this team Ends the season with >$10M in cap space.
There is still time...not as much as yesterday, but more than tomorrow.

"tight"wad.

One theory about the cap room is just maybe, as others have said here, they want to have more room during the season in case, oh I dunno, 4 CB's go down and they want to sign some better players then what minimum salary guys are worth. Add a deal for Branch, maybe a veteran QB if needed, a guy like Posey or say a Ted Washington-like deal for the end of August and there goes that $$$. Felger+radio show= AHole trying to cause debate. Felger-radio show= good reporter.
