"I'm not going to get into that. I wouldn't do it. But I was sitting in my locker eating the food."
Did Favre really say he was sitting in his locker?

Listening to Chris Mortensen on the radio right now. Though I don't always agree with him and I sometimes question the validity of his unnamed sources, he did bring up a valid point:

If the catering incident was so egregious that the Vikings felt it was grounds to let him go, then why did they let him get on the plane and play in the game?

Granted, that was before the post-game press conference, but for those in the Vikings organization that are implying that Moss was let go due to that incident, I say that's a load of ####.

I think that was just one incident that, for whatever reason, got blown up. Let's not forget that he badmouthed the Vikings coaching staff after the game to the press as well. There was also the questionable amount of effort on the last pass of the game against the Packers.

I don't think he was let go for yelling at the lunch lady. But rarely is someone fired for one incident. Typically it is for a culmination of incidents. Just like there wasn't one thing that prompted BB to trade Moss but a culmination of incidents.
