Have I seriously still read posts defending this selfish loser?

More detail that doesn't reflect well on making excuses for Randy in this instance.
Burton and others said that Randy got up and LEFT the table, took a chair over by the wall, faced the wall, put on his earphones, tuned everyone out and ignored repeated requests by numerous Pats people (BB? Kraft?) to return to the table.
I think Chilly dealt with Moss's criticism of him the way he wishes he could deal with Favre. In the end, Chilly made "an example" out of nothing. Randy was barely there, the Vikes weren't great with or without him.
I bet Chilly was getting so oversensitive to criticism about his lack of dealing with Favre and decided to place that aggression elsewhere.
Anonymous internet poster thinks he is less of a selfish loser than wealthy football star, news at 11.
I mean, how dare anybody not like the catering and refuse to talk to the same media that ****s on him on a regular basis. The nerve!
Yeah... Moss definitely handled that situation in the best way possible. :bricks:
Left the guests' table, walked away and took a chair facing the wall, put on earphones and refused to return despite multiple requests to do so.
I leave it to you to rationalize that behaviour to customers at a corporate function.
Name me one person who handles all situations the best way possible. You can't because that person does not exist. But anonymous judgment from the safety of the keyboard is always awesome. :bricks:

You kidding me, dude? I've been to plenty of mom and pop restaurants where I haven't liked the cooking. That doesn't mean that I started yelling about how it was utter crap and how I wouldn't have fed it to my dog to their faces.

So you think the right thing to do? Was this an appropriate and measured response to the scenario? I mean we have people on other teams who are rapists, killers, dog killers, drunk drivers, but hey, lets pile on the guy that gets insulting to caterers and hurts their feelings.
Seriously?

So because no one person handles every single situation in the best way possible, Moss is excused from acting like a jackass?
Nice logic.
Once again, not being happy with the catering is one thing. Berating the people that made it openly and to their faces when he simply could have approached the organization in regards to changing it is completely different.
And your last sentence has absolutely nothing to do with the subject at hand.
But please, do bring more porous logic like that to the table.
If the story were true, it would be a jackass thing from Moss. However I don't believe there's anyway this story is true as it has been reported.

Let's just say that making judgments about guys when you don't have all the facts is not cool.
I'd say that's your inferred logic, really.
I wasn't there. Were you? Was it really a big deal? Was he really that much of a boor? Was the food really that ****ty? Was the story a conveniently timed PR stunt to save face? I don't know the answers to these questions (save the last one) and neither do you.
Sure it do.
When people don't get the point they b1tch a lot about the other guy's logic. Patsfans.com strikes again!
I read the story, but I do not recall, maybe you can quote it for me.
Does it state anywhere that Moss was waived by the Vikings BECAUSE of the food incident?
(deleted post)No, however there has been no other incident reported since Chilly's post game press conference where Moss was cleared of all issues.
The source noted that Moss' behavior both in the locker room and after Sunday's loss at New England was a key factor in Childress' decision.
Moss' actions during a Friday locker-room buffet upset even quarterback Brett Favre, the St. Paul Pioneer-Press reported Tuesday.
I agree. Until someone it willing to identify themselves as the nameless witness, this is a made up story.
But even if we were to fly with this, it doesn't measure up against the horrifying actions of other players that are still playing.
The point is, Chilly's actions, no matter what went on are WAY out of line.
