There was a person on Sirius that was saying there is not much hitting/contact going on in Patriots camp when he was witnessing the event the other day and that the Washington Redskins are not going full out contact much either when he made the trek there.

For those of you who have witnessed Training Camp in person are the guys hitting or does it look more like a lightly hitting camp this year.

From the looks of injuries it appears the guys are practicing as normal but this guy claims it looks like it is less than usual.

He claims the hot weather may have something to do with this

I ddin't catch who he was but he was on Sirius NFL Radio about 1pm today broadcasting from Denver's camp.

Are the players holding back a bit in contact like he claims or is this BS?

I think they're practicing for next year's introduction of the "Manning Polian Rule", which will state that "it shall be forbidden for a defensive player to do anything more than admire the play of the star Quarterback, Receiver and Running Back.
Attempts to impede offensive players, by tackling, running towards, or looking at an offensive player less than fawningly, shall draw an offense interference penalty. This will result in a touchdown being conceded".
