Just a curious thought? Perhaps they have set their own Salary Cap that is significantly different than what the new CBA has. This could be the result that they ae unhappy with the new CBA share percentage, the fact the players are sharing in all revenues, and the sharing of revenues (however small) with the small market teams.

The Pats have their debts to pay for the stadium and the new construction projects around the stadium. Lets say for argument sake their Salary Cap is around $94M or what the old cap would have been. Could this be a reason we are not seeing any free agents signed?

They have never not spent to it. Until proven otherwise there is no reason to think they won't spend to the new cap. None at all.

There is no reason to believe that Kraft is unhappy with the new CBA. There was no inclusion of other revenue sources, as was threatened. The projected cap of $105M-$110M became $102M salary cap and $3M extortion payment by Kraft. The total is still $105M (less adjestments) which is at the low end of what was expected.

I see now reason to believe that Kraft will not spend the cap. And BTW, there is no bonus for spending the entire cap in one week.

Why? Why? Why?
