Revis wasn’t holding out for more money he was cut and the patriots signed him below market.
Other than every detail being different good example though

Do you ever get tired of being WRONG?

Revis was the highest paid CB in 2014 with NE at 12 million. He left the following season voiding the rest of his 2 year 32 million contract for more money. He was 29.

Mack is 27 and prime for a deal similar to Revis A Super Bowl on Macks resume would increase his value on the open market if NE could not work out a long term deal. Bottom line is that youre wrong and that the Pats do throw money around and are not as fiscally responsible as some of the low information fans make them out to be.

Mack may be one of the players that Belichick would at least give strong consideration to paying market value to, in the same vein as a dominant defensive player like Seymour.

The main issue would likely be what it would cost to get him here. We’d probably be looking at parting with a first round pick and then having to hope that they could reach an agreement on an extension. It could prove to be a costly proposition, unless of course, it was one of those deals where they knew the loose perimeters of what he was seeking prior to pulling the trigger.

Khalil Mack not expected to attend Raiders minicamp
A Mack for Gronk swap?
Straight up id have to greatly consider it.
Id be much more happier to have A 1st and Allen swapped out for Mack and keep Gronk.
However would love Mack hed make our defense nasty.
Id also try to get a developmental QB from them in the deal.
Mack is younger, and more durable than Gronkowski. Why would the Raiders make the trade straight up?

Revis was a UFA, Mack is not.

Revis signed a deal that was essentially 1 year, $12 million. While a generous amount, it was still below market value and certainly not a long term commitment on the part of the Patriots.

Khalil Mack is looking for his first big payday. He will not be so generous in settling for less.
