Anyone else worried about Stork?

Hopefully keeping David Andrews on the roster has nothing to do with any health issues regarding Stork.

Didn't Stork have injury issues in college. Bad news should it continue....

Captain Obvious

Time to put the Great Gazoo helmet on Stock (meaning one of the those helmets to reduce concussions)

We get one of the big steals in the draft last year with Bryan Stork, a mauling dominant center that we imagined being the cornerstone of the offensive line for the next decade. So of course he gets hurt in arguably the worst way possible in training camp putting a dark cloud over his future. Typical.
Typical of what?

Unleash the Andrews.

I have to say, Im more worried about the guard situation. We drafted 2 right guards where we had Wendell that although is not a top player was not a liability last year. BB passed on a few pure left guards in the draft and the Cameron Fleming experiment at guard didnt pan out.

Tre Jackson seems like a lock at the right side so that's good and should solidify one side of the wall.

The left remains to be seen, i believe part of Solder struggles last year was due to the absence of Mankins.

I worry about everything to do with the Pats. That's just me.

When healthy, Stork is our #1 option at center. So I hope he comes back healthy soon. In the meantime I'm sure the team is just playing it safe, as they should. Concussion rules have gotten stricter to protect players long-term careers and health.

Can anybody say exactly when this concussion occurred

I mean it could have been two months ago and they are being super careful for all I know.

Long term, since the injury report did come out saying "(concussion)"; what worries me most is not how long he's out, but rather hoe much the incognitos of the world are going to take cheap shots at his head

Worried for him personally ...

yes absolutely because it's impossible for that man to not play full out all the time ... it's not who he is.

I saw something on twitter earlier, forget who it was from that made it seem like that this maybe the nfl flexing its new power it has over concussions.

Who is in charge of concussions ... Kensil?

It's my expectation that Solder and Vollmer are locked into the LT and RT spots, respectively. I also think Mason and Jackson are locked in at LG and RG, respectively, barring major struggles. They're high on those guys and are going to throw them in early and ride it out. Barring huge issues with either of them, they'll stay in there, make mistakes at times, but learn and improve.

Obviously Stork is the ideal starting C, but should he not be able to play, I'd imagine they'll play Wendell, Andrews, Kline, in that order. Hopefully Stork can go.

Still wishing we signed Mathis to help stabilize the o-line

I know we're up against the cap right now, but if there was an extension for someone + no Reggie Wayne signing it could've got done

The reason for starting center Bryan Stork's absence from practice has been speculated to be a concussion, and the team confirmed that Monday. Stork has returned to the practice field Saturday, and one report indicated he had passed standard protocol. But he's been absent the last two days, putting his status for the opener in question. If he can't go, undrafted rookie David Andrews and seven-year veteran Ryan Wendell are the top candidates to replace him.

It sounds like he is having trouble coming back. He has a history, with at least 1 concussion in college and at least 2 here.
