I appreciate everyone's opinion, so I say this with all respect. How wouldn't bringing in Boldin bust the cap this year? I thought we just figured out after signing rookies, etc that we'll have a little less than 3 million?

And why do you keep assuming that ARZ would part with such a weapon under contract for a 2nd rounder? (the same asking price for OAK's Burgess)

Adding Ben Watson wouldn't really peak their interest either IMO, plus it'd hurt a position where we're set (TE)

Lets focus on D-E-F-E-N-S-E in 2009 - The offense is perfectly fine except for the backup QB position which concerns me still.

But as we all know and the Giants in 2007 can tell you,DEFENSE wins championships when all is said and done,Get a good trade for a DEFENSIVE player now and we could be in better shape on the D

I think its ridiculous for anyone to be talking about us signing someone for an offense that looks in pretty good order and maybe the best its ever looked.

On Boldin I think he had a great year but he is not that special imo. He certainly got a few handy catches when wide open due to LF taking the cover away from him in games I seen. I'm not dishing the guy, I'm just saying that a bit like Gaffney and Stallworth with us, they looked good with Moss and Welker to take eyes off them but once the eyes went back on them they did not do so good.

Then how do you explain Boldin's nearly 1400 receiving yards the year before Fitzgerald was drafted?

Anyway, I agree that upgrades are needed more on the defensive side of the ball now.
