Another blown call last night no one is talking about.

That's 3 seconds, but point taken.

I saw that too. Gin scored and I glanced at a stadium clock and it was 1:02 I watched it tick down to :59 Little hometown Timekeeping.

Bradys second to last pass took 3 seconds

And with anther few seconds that pass could have been 10-12 yards instead of 5-6. Making the last play a little bit easier. Again, its a small thing, but that is what usually make the difference.

We really have to move on from the calls....

we cannot control the officials. We only control our own play.

Roll on Denver.

After Adam Vinatieri kicked his Super Bowl winning FG against the Rams, 2 seconds were run off the clock. Would have been enough time for one last kickoff.

The explanation for that was the fact that the official game clock is kept on the field, not on TV. I suspect that is also true here.

Worse: on the last Panthers drive newton ran out of bounds on one play but the clock kept running as if he was tackled in bounds.

Not sure that's worse, as with the timeout situation less time may have benefit the Pats if they'd come up with a stop.

I thought this might be about the blatant push in the back by #35 on the last guy who had a shot at tackling Newton on his 14 yard run:

That 3rd and 7 run sums up the defense last night, that one stung.

Nink was held by #78 at the start of that clip as well.

Tolbert #35 did a real good job of holding down field too as Newton was
getting close to the first down.

should have benny hill theme playing for that play.

those were so painful to watch last night...

Was that before or after 5:00 left on the clock?

When there's more than 2:00 left in the second quarter and more than 5:00 left in the fourth quarter the clock will stop when the ballcarrier goes OOB but will restart once the ball is spotted.

When it's under 2:00 in the 2nd and under 5:00 in the 4th the clock will stop and not restart until the snap itself.

(This was a change in the 1990s made in response to games being perceived as taking too long. Before that the clock was always stopped until the snap when the ballcarrier went OOB. So they made the game shorter by giving us less football instead of less commercials.)

I thought this was a penalty until I saw the replay where it doesn't look like a block in the back at all.

There were lots of times when the clock kept running during the game when it should have been stopped. At one point in that last drive 5 seconds ran off the clock after a play and I can't imagine they waited that long to call a TO.

I noticed the clock ticking off too! That's pretty bad to let it go that long.

The clock issue is nothing new. The home team always gets this advantage. It happened in the broncos chiefs game too. It sucks but every home team sort of do that. The last call was just awful.
