Jennings is a solid backup who can spot start. Really good against the run. Not sure why they are getting rid of him unless they think their young guys can play at the same level and are cheaper.

I think they need youñg guys to come in and shine. That can happen only if they get play time which means we need to release mid of pack veterans which is a risk of the youngsters don't develop. But Jennings is not an all pro that we cannot live without.

You need to gamble and hope the younger players become better and start to contribute.

I would assume the same, which means we still need to replace Chaisson. I would have to think that Edge at #31 a sure thing now.

What do we think about Swinson? They liked him enough to not let him get poached, but he still couldn't get on the field.

My guess is that they think he will be a contributor in 2026 but probably not a starter. Probably a rotational player. Maybe he blooms into more by the end of his contract but it is not likely - but he was a pretty low pick so that's not a big deal, there's always room for a situational/rotational pass rusher on the back half of your 53.

Definitely, right now the room is one starter, one aging vet dealing with an injury who may not be able to get healthy, one rotational player, and one sophomore who might become a rotational player. They need a lot there.

I know you were high on Swinson and I of Ponder. That said a veteran presence would be preferable.
