Hernandez really runs like a running back too. So much better than the H back types they've drafted (Mills) or acquired (sorry Heath Evans).

There's a sense of danger when he makes a catch and isn't immediately contained. I love it!

Watching Hernandez juke out 3 defenders is a thing of beauty. It's like once every game this guy makes a fool out of at least 1 defender. Already one of my favorite Patriots to watch ever.

Favorite quote of the article is talking about BJGE: "Now in his third year, he is making a name -- albeit a long one -- for himself."

Exactly. It's amazing how a big guy like him can cut on a dime. Love watching him get crazy YACs with those jukes.

This quote should be included in any Brady vs. Manning debate:

"Since Brady took over at quarterback, the Patriots have had five different running backs lead the team in rushing and six different pass catchers lead the team in receiving. The one constant has been Brady, himself a player who entered the Patriots facility without much fanfare. Now, utilizing his no-name weapons, he again has the Patriots operating as the league's premier offensive machine."

Consistency of coaching and weapons is an edge Brady never had.

BJGE is becoming my all time favorite back in this era.. hope they ink him to a long term(maybe 3 or 4 years) deal.. love the way he just goes forward.

For those who haven't seen it yet. Actually, the anatomies of three plays. Nicely broken down. Presented by Mike Mayock, who did the wicked BB impersonation in another video

NFL.com news: Versatile unknowns help fuel NFL's premier offensive machine

Thank you. Why excellent threads like this with actual football analysis aren't immediately 5 starred amazes me. I loved seeing Hernandez's play against the Jets live and in person where he juked several defenders and got great YAC. Watching Brady read the D noting the Uh-Oh matchup of a soon to be toasted LB on Woodhead was fun too. And Wes Welker's amazing cuts and route running. We are SO spoiled. Enjoy this people. It won't happen again, post BB and Brady.
