I'm listening to Belichicks weekly interview on WEII a few minutes ago and he said Brady had NOT been placed on IR yet, and they have NOT brought in any FA quarterbacks for workouts, and he has no plans to at this time. And in the press conference earlier he refused to specify exactly what the injury was.

Biggest level ever? Please one time?

Wait, he actually said the words "we haven't placed Tom on IR yet"?

STATEMENT FROM THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS ON TOM BRADY

"After extensive tests this morning, it was revealed that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's left knee, which was injured in the first quarter of yesterday's game, will require surgery. He will be placed on injured reserve and will miss the remainder of the 2008 season."

Regards,
Chris

P.S. Taken right from patriots.com

apparently they WILL place him on IR and make a roster move tommorow to bring back kevin. No story here.

ugh...let me hold onto some hope for at least a few more hours. lol

That is basically exactly what he said.

They were asking him about Kevin Faulk returning. Belichick responded that Faulk will be added to the roster tomorrow, as they have a one-day exemption from the league, so they will make a move by then.

They asked if he will just take Brady roster spot with him going on IR, and Belichick said Brady wasn't been placed on IR today.

Of course, that doesn't mean he won't be tomorrow when Faulk returns.

Both are correct. The Pats website said Brady will be placed on IR. During the conversation with BB, the topic of roster moves and Kevin Faulk's return came up; BB did indeed say that Brady had not been placed on IR yet.

They asked him if he had been yet and he said no. But he also said they have until 3PM tomorrow to make a roster move for Faulk's return.

Patriots.com has a statement directly from the Patriots that says conclusively he WILL be placed on IR. They wouldn't say that directly if they weren't going to do it.

Maybe they come out with one tomorrow that says:

"Just messing with you!"
