Below is a list of ways the league really botched "deflategate"

1.)the league has a rule in place that is impossible to uphold as it is currently written due to the fact that footballs can gain and lose pressure based on weather factors

2.)earlier in the season during a game two teams were caught heating up balls on the sideline, this breaks the same rule as the patriots alleged deflation, the league issued no punishment.

3.)The league has no standards in place with regards to how balls are checked, and leaves it up to the referees discretion

4.)The league was warned about the patriots balls seeming light(see point 1) and at the worst the league setup a sting operation, at second to worst the league completely ignored prior protocall and didn't send a warning to the patriots not to do anything(see point 2) and as a best case scenerio which is still really bad, the league ignored the warner

5.)the league measured the balls at half time, and because of point 1, deemed the patriots to have been acting "fishy"

6.)The league then DESTROYED that evidence by filling the balls up to regulation(higher if the post game measurements are to be believed), thus in fact cheating on the patriots behalf

7.) instead of dishing out an equipment violation fine, which they could have done if they warned the patriots(see point 4) or a warning(see point 4, and 2) the league decided to launch an investigation which took 4 months and cost reportedly 5 million dollars.

8.) For the investigation, the NFL hired Ted Wells, a league shill, to hold an impartial investigation into what if anything went wrong

9.) the only thing wells looked at is what the PATRIOTS did, and did not reflect any guilt onto the league

10.)Wells hired as scientific experts the same company that said on record that second hand smoke does not cause cancer,

11.)Well concluded that the patriots more probably then not did something illegal, and that brady would have been generally aware. AKA thanks for the cash, my investigation came up with a single text message that said "im the deflator" from months before anything happened.

12.) The league gave the patriots the most severe punishment in history, and part of the reason is because they are repeat offenders, if being a repeat offender is such a big deal, why didn't the jets lose draft picks for tampering? because goodell is a jets stooge.

13.) The leagues hired prosecutor ted wells held a conference call where one of his partners said "it doesnt matter which gauge was used, the science doesn't change" He's half right, the science doesn't change the conclusion however does, by ignoring the facts they paint the patriots in a bad light.

14.)The patriots are fined and suspended because of a lack of sooperation, cooperation that was offered to the league but refused because it would be over the phone

there are about a dozen more of these but im tired. of writing. im done with the nfl until goodell is ousted.

A few things:

1) The rule (Rule 2 Section 1) in place says that the balls are to be inflated to 12.5 to 13.5 psi prior to the game. It does not say anywhere that the ball has to remain at that 12.5 to 13.5 psi.

10) While the experts that Wells hired don't have a lot of credibility, the science they provided did. It's accurate. The conclusions provided are not accurate.

11) The Wells report actually exonerated Kraft, Belichick and the coaches from any wrong doing.
In particular, we do not believe there was any
wrongdoing or knowledge of wrongdoing by Patriots ownership, Patriots Head Coach Bill
Belichick or any other Patriots coach in the matters investigated. We also do not believe there
was any wrongdoing or knowledge of wrongdoing by Patriots Head Equipment Manager Dave
Schoenfeld.

The report also claims that Brady and the Patriots "
provided substantial cooperation throughout the
investigation, making personnel, documents and other information available to us upon request.

The exception was not making McNally available a 5th time, which, we have since learned was BS. He was available for a phone interview, just not a face to face interview. And the NFL and Wells declined to do the phone interview.

So Wells essentially lied in the report about that.

12) Repeat offenders? Why didn't they hammer the Broncos since the Broncos would have been repeat offenders with their Salary Cap violations and then the filming? As you said, why didn't they hammer the Jets?

14) - This is really a continuation of 11..
