Looking at the free agents coming up on KFFL, Steven Jackson is a FA so with that I'd assume Amendola will become a free agent, he would be a good option (and younger, cheaper) to replace Welker if they go that route.

Bring in any of those 3 realistic ones and pair them with Wilson and the secondary looks better

It would be well worth it, even if only for his leadership and organizational skills in the secondary. He would make the secondary infinately better over night though

Although it's likely the Ravens re-sign him or he retires.

How much would those 3 safeties be looking for? I'd imagine Goldson definitely would cost a bit. Perhaps the draft would be the way to go there. So far I think we need to draft S, DE(unless Bequette shows something or Ninko looks more like the last 2 weeks consistently), WR, and OT depth.

Mundy would probably be the cheapest of the 3, if he would sign for a deal similar to what Gregory got it would be good for the Patriots, even if it was a million or so a year more than what Gregory is getting.

Goldson will probably be looking at $5-7m and Phillips I'm not too sure about...his last contract was 5 years/11.15m so he will want more this time I'm sure.

as a starter ($5M-$8M),
as a nickel ($3M-$4M) and solid backup starter.
as a solid backup and dime back (under $3M)?

There are 2 popular thoughts regarding Arrington's future here:

1. With the high priced market for CB's, he will almost surely price himself out of Foxborough or another team will simply make him an offer that he can't refuse. We saw it this year alone with Anderson and BJGE, who were offered ridiculous contracts and left. There are many who feel that Arrington will be able to get around 6-7 million per year, particularly since he's from N.England, and also because he's made somewhat of a name for himself.

2. He often struggles in certain aspects and can certainly be upgraded. (That said, he should also be lauded for being an overachiever here, and doing a decent job at some things too)

Unless Arrington plans on leaving a ton of money on the table and staying here for 4 million or so a year, I can't see any scenario where he remains a NEP.

They'll most likely be equally desperate for a starting-caliber player at WR, C/G, and CB, but they'll also probably be seriously looking at the DE and S positions. I think they'll be doubling up on WR next draft like they did with TE in 2010, RB in 2011, and DE in 2012.

Last time I checked they had two starting-caliber WRs... with one or two borderline guys. If they don't resign Welker and/or Edelman, we'll see them draft at least one WR. I think Interior Line is more of an issue though.

As for Dennard, if I were Matt Patricia I'd start him at RCB or LCB (whichever one DMac doesn't play) to see how he fares. We're facing the 32nd pass offense iirc so it's not like it's a huge risk. And it'd give us some more information on how he plays.

What you said about the receivers is exactly why they're probably going to draft at least one next year. They could lose Welker and/or Edelman, Lloyd is on the wrong side of 30, and they have no depth besides those three (Branch won't last forever).

What's wrong with the wide receiver quartet of Welker, Lloyd, Edelman, Salas?

Besides, the safety class is far deeper in the 2013 NFL Draft than the 2012 NFL Draft.

Well, I definitely wouldn't mind picking up Eric Reid... Good, strong FS, and not a liability in coverage like some others I could mention. But I'm a big fan of LSU and I want nearly all of their defensive players...

I know, it's mostly wishful thinking on my part though. I also wouldn't mind Sam Montgomery or Barkevious Mingo, both of whom will also be gone by the 32nd pick in the draft.

All I'm saying is that we traded up twice, and third time's the charm... Eric Reid could be the next, well, Reed!

Clearly... Just look at the Tavon Wilson selection.
Plus, there's lots of games left. Plenty of time to raise... or lower his draft stock.
What do you think of this year's QB crop? I don't see much pro potential outside of Barkley, and even there, we know how well USC QBs work out.
