Walt Anderson according to footballzebras.com

Is that good or bad? I don't follow the refs.

Who knows because it is an all star crew. None of these guys worked together before. Or at least most of them haven't.

Yep. Typically do the other refs follow the game calling philosophy of the head referee? It was easier to guesstimate with reg season crews. So dumb.

Walt Anderson's regular crew is not very good so I'll wait to see who the "all star" crew usually work with before making any comment on if it's good or bad.

Walt anderson was terrible this year. Then again i had high hopes for bill vinovich too.

Super bowl ref is rumored to be bill vinovich.

To be fair, they did handicap him by giving him a line judge from Clete Blakeman's crew and a back judge from Jerome Boger's crew.

For a second I was thinking Walt Coleman.

At this point it will hard to believe that the results will be worse that what we had vs Baltimore. Saturday wasn't so much about any inequity in yards, but in the timing of the calls. Almost all of Baltimore's calls either game on early downs or in the kicking game. The only one that really might have been game changing was the UC that moved the ball from the 1 to the 16. It didn't end up hurting them but it might have.

On the other hand almost every penalty, non-call or challenge seemed to hurt the Pats. From the challenge that shouldn't have been overturned, to the out of the way holding call that cost the Pats a virtual TD on the Collins TO.....and several in between.

I don't mind my share of bad or untimely calls. I'd just like to see some equity. There WAS no equity on Saturday.

Went to football focus to see how the pats made out when he reffed our games. Since 2003 when he was a ref and not a line judge, he has reffed 14 of our games. We are 12-2 when he has been the ref including an afc championship game in 2005 against the steelers. He didnt ref any of our games in the 2008, 2009, 2012 seasons. He also reffed the pats vs broncos game and miami game this season. So overall pats are 12-2 when he is the ref and this season, we are 1-1 when he is the ref.

Ohh and according to footballzebras.com...vinovich looks to be a lock for the superbowl referee.

Why does the NFL do this? So we can talk about the refs and how bad they are every postseason?

Who came up with this bright idea...hey lets split up the crews and have guys work with other guys who they have never worked with before...

To try and get the best officials out there. It doesn't make sense to just throw one single crew out because of how highly the referee grades out. If the LJ on your crew sucks, he shouldn't get to do playoff games just because the referee did well.

It really is the stupidest thing. My feeling is if that had been Vinovich's actual crew I think the flag stays in on that Revis PI.

And the little consistency there was goes to **** because it's a bunch of refs that haven't worked together. Give me a good crew that has worked for at least the whole season together.
