Thought i'd post this here after seeing it on Reddit. Looks like it was an Achillies injury that had him on IR. He's often forgot about when we talk abotu the Pats Off Season moves.

He was IR'd rather quickly and quietly towards the end of training camp. I don't recall the injury even being mentioned when he was IR'd.

I thought he was IR'd mostly because they didn't want to cut him and figured he'd provide some leadership. Anyone know how involved he's been?

I don't remember them saying any type of injury. Just that he was placed in IR.

I can’t see a way he is plays here next season unless he take a vet minimum no guarantee money contract.
