ADAM's COMP PICKS

This was posted this morning and moved to the main forum. However there is no harm in having one here also.

If that projection is intact- this is great trade value to land Peppers. Pat's already lowered the franchise value of Peppers by trading Cassel for a rd 2-pick at 34. This was very well thought out. Pat's could keep all original picks and still land Peppers for #34 and say #97-supplemental for Samuel loss to Eagles last year. Panther's would have to look at this as a quality trade based on the Cassel value factor. Pat's would land a proven all pro that wants to play for them. It would allow them to key in on other areas for the future. Next year they have several players like Seymour-Wilfork to deal with on contracts-so maybe a Defensive lineman comes into play at 23.Evander Hood- Tyson Jackson. Maybe Alex Mack-center - Cal. Maybe even Harvin-an elite-versatile player that could beused many ways with Brady. Remember-Coach was in the box seats at the Championship game where an injured Harvin showed alot of heart playing on that ankle. You never know.

NFL doesn't allow compensation picks to be traded. With a signing of Peppers you can kiss Seymour AND Wilfork good bye!

Wilfork is the most important player on this defense. I don't care about Peppers and I would let Seymour walk if it meant having big Vince signed long-term. Extend Wilfork and go from there. I would also love to see the Pats move up and pick Tyson Jackson who would be an excellent player, and a lot cheaper, to eventually replace Seymour. Best 5-technique DE in this draft, actually best player currently available at that position when you consider price.

Good point about supp. picks-I missed that. Wilfork obviously is the key to this move for Peppers that I suggest. Seymour played well last year-however, I could see this as his last year . Drafting Ty. Jackson or Evander Hood at 23 would flow with the other future pieces. Wilfork is a necessity on the ball.

Andre Brown -rb-NC. ST- May be the best rb out of this draft when we look back in 3 years. Size.Toughness, Vision. I like him as a rd 3-4 type player that has a future.
