AD talks, says he called in advance that he would be late, watched film at home

The Adalius Thomas New England Patriots career death watch has kicked into high gear. The guy is arse. Belichick may be an arse too, but he is the boss with the hardware cred. You don't speak out against the head coach no matter what.

At this point Adalius Thomas is the problem, not part of the solution. He isn't good enough to be talking like this.

Guys, if you actually watch the video, he does not sound like how you read it.
In saying that, as soon as AD and Ray Lewis got into that thing when he first came here, I said to myself, this guy is not a PAT's material. Looks like I may have been right all along. He has brought that Baltimore mentality here. Complain, complain and don't take responsibility for anything.

yeah bb has been known to do that .Everytime he cuts a player he drafted or signed he blames the players .Although everytime after the move he gives a simple respectful answer instead of blaming the player that i didnt work out and will work for the player elsewhere.
Hindsight is 20/20. Yes bb's fault that AD hasnt worked out. Just like moss and welker have worked out just fine.
Bottomline, BB never utters the word in the media "I made a mistake" which is what everyone wants to hear so it satisfies them.

I still think he was a really good 4-3 LB that had a lot of position flexibility, but has/is/will struggle in BB's assignment specific defense.

Honestly, this guy is turning into a locker room poison. His production on the field is not worthy of the prima donna he has turned into.

In spite of the sheer amount of $$ owed to him, I'd truly consider cutting him right now at this very moment. We need something drastic to shake up the locker room, it would be a ballsy move, but it might be the addition by subtraction move we need.

The other 49 players + 8 practice squad + all the coaches managed to show up on time in spite of the snow, and he didn't. He has to accept responsibility for that.

the problem is that the types of personalities of players that were integral to 3 SB wins. aren't out there anymore. especially on the defensive side of the ball. there's no harrison out there, there's no bruschi or vrabel out there. so now that BB has to use himself as the mantra of the team, it ain't working out so well. kind of a difference between he and parcells. they have similar philosophies, but when he doesn't have the players to lead, parcells can grab the reigns and do it himself. I think this team is lost now.

part of the problem, I believe, is that when coaches go to a new team, there's a core group of vets that come along with him or players he had worked with as a coordinator previously to bring in a mentality that helps get the coaches point across. worked great for the pats and along with some good personnel decisions in draft and FA, cause the pats to win 3 SB's in the first 5 years. in the meantime, he never bothered to get involved with the grooming of younger players to adhere to the mantra that works.

it also helped to have 'player' guys like weis and RAC as coordinators. I guess part of the problem also is that you don't have a whole lot of charisma at the assistant level.

Once you allow one excuse, the next guy will think of another excuse. Then where do you draw the line? The line no matter where is going to be grey, and on one side of the line is an acceptable excuse and on the other an unacceptable excuse. Yet those two excuses are very close in importance and validity. You set something in stone (and BB did on Monday) and then you follow through NO ifs ands or buts about it.

PS: It is his duty to plan for the traffic that is guaranteed due to the storm. And even if it was a massive unforeseen traffic incident, the point is it's commitment time and BB hammered this into them on Monday. Plan to be early and that way unforeseen holdups will at least get you there on time. AD by arriving late didn't show the commitment required from his boss and he was forewarned. Along with Moss and Burgess. Send them home, it's time to step it the f up.

Of course the same haters who are complaining about BB sending people home are the same ones that would complain if BB didn't do anything and this losing attitude was allowed to continue.

As much as we need him in the lineup, I think its time to suspend him for the rest of the year... He never blames himself for his mistakes it sound...

I really have no problem with them being sent home. everyone else could make it on time and I bet there were those who lived further away than any of the culprits.

Thomas is speaking up because he's alreayd been taken out to the woodshed this year. his point is valid that 'they don't want to hear it'. and I don't blame the front office for not wanting to hear it. drastic times call for drastic measures. if this team is going to wake up and do anything in the playoffs, they need to wake up now. they need to go on the road and beat up on whover they have left (bills and texans, I believe).

the problem I have is that it got this far. its not like this jovial post loss behavior reared its head the first time this week and that points the finger back at the coaches for not addressing it soone (if that was the indeed the intent.....part of me still thinks that BB knew what he has all along and has figured to try to light a fire under these guys at just the right time for a solid playoff run)

so at the end of the day, success is really only measured once the season is over, and we ain't there yet
