It was really close a bunch of times. There where way to many times where the punter had to adjust to the ball, and the defense nearly got to him because of that. I don't want to see my punter having to test his record for vertical jumps just to catch the snap. Other times he had to run for his life to even be able to get his hands on the ball before the defense got to him.
That's why I really had no problem with taking a very good long snapping prospect in the 5th round, because the 5th round is such a crap shot anyway. It just takes one bad snap in one of those tight play off games to loose and end the season. So if a 5th round pick means you lower the risk of that happening by a lot, then I say go for it! Atleast when you have a team that's so good anyway, that you don't have a huge amount of needs.
