Sweet way to head into the bye week too! a whole week off to enjoy dropping 50 on the Steelers
We have a competent O that scored the leagues most points 1 game, and if the D gets healthy, they will be top 5.
I fixed it for you.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of guys, amirite?
The historical beatdown that we just witnessed...against an organization that I absolutely loathe from top to bottom... I'd say that was very, very close to being just as enjoyable as a Red Sox World Series championship.
That was just delicious.
I never could have predicted that, can he at least save some for the playoffs?
Most yards and points allowed by a Steelers defense in franchise history*
*According to what I just heard on the SNF pregame show
Somehow I don't believe this part.I'm sorry to be a buzzkill but we beat the 2013 Steelers. They're last in their division and especially bad this year vs the pass. They'll likely have a top 10 draft pick in the spring. Maybe top 5. This year the Steelers suck...badly.
While it's great to go into the bye with a solid win (lightyears better than if we had lost). It's not like we beat the Steel Curtain era Steelers or even the Steelers of a few years ago.
Thanks, could this actually be one of the best pats teams if they stay healthy? The offense has all the weapons, and the D has playmakers.
I know its too early to tell, but this team has to feel good. Just keep improving.
- You're going to lose the best all-around TE in football for all of training camp and much of the first half of the regular season . . . (Gronk)
- You're going to lose perhaps the most versatile weapon in the league due to a murder charge and multiple gun-related charges in what is being exposed as a history of violent behavior . . . (AHern)
- The best slot receiver in the league and the best at moving the chains on third down (perhaps the best at that we've ever seen in the league) is going to leave in FA . . . (Welker)
- An unsung hero who was two missteps from not even being in the NFL would be so undervalued by the Patriots as to sign a contract for peanuts with SD would leave . . . (Woodhead)
- Your QB will struggle while trying to run the offense while having to teach a trio of young receivers, a slot guy he's never played with and who probably won't play a full season, no TE's, and a weird RB carousel
- You'd suffer season-ending injuries to some of the best players at their respective positions in all the league . . . (Wilfork, Mayo, Vollmer)
- Your best performer of the season on defense would be lost to what appears to be a nagging hip injury . . . (Talib)
- And then one of your better D-Linemen would be lost for the season . . . (Kelly)
Mariucci..Can someone remind me again how a 50-point game became a "50 burger"?
