With both torn, what would your prognosis be?

He won't be playing next week.

After that, it's anyone's guess. What's the PUP procedures again? No playing for the first 6 weeks, then another 3 weeks to activate them or IR them? I would imagine he'll play the next half of last year, and then be back to his usualy self in 2011 (if there is football).

Of course, this is a total guess. I have no idea what will actually happen.

Very bad news about Welker. He'll definitely be a story throughout the playoffs.

What are the opportunities here? IR and a call-up from the proactice squad or something more exotic? TO is a free agent.

8-9 months, for a pro.........

Welker starts during training camp next year. Book it. I had the same injury, plus the PCL, I was at full strength in 10 months, and I'm a fat pig.

Brady had an MCL not PCL tear. The MCL isn't a big injury and usually repairs without surgery in a month or two. It could delay the second surgery since many doctors want to wait for the MCL to heal before repairing the ACL. Also, the swelling could delay the surgery.

Initial results means nothing without a MRI. you guys need to wait for that before jumping off the bridge.

There is no reason to say that. Most likely it means he'll be PUPed, it could be better or worse depending on rehab but that is the most likely scenario.
