For some strange reason, I found it easier to attend games in the old place

Tickets were $35 in the old dump. You didn't pay $50 to park, and you didn't have to walk a mile and a half thru Retail Alley in order to get to the stadium. Not strange at all.

My groundskeeper rents a plane and parachutes into the parking lot in order to save on parking.
As far as this "cost" discussion goes, why not just have your company pay for the expenses. Better yet, attending as a corporate guest is wonderful. Muffy and I love to attend the matches as long as they don't interfere with her symphony commitments. Goldman sends the limo to our Brookline estate 2 hours before tee off (11:00AM)and we settle in for the arduous drive south. We've found that a lighter bodied wine is perfect ....a sauvignon blanc is a wonderful wine for the journey. Things do get a little hectic when the driver enters Foxborough proper....but once we locate the VIP lane, he wisks us past the foot traffic and right up to the elevator entrance. Flukes of Moet as we step from the limo is a welcoming sight. Muffy prefers to mingle with the gals from the country club prior to the match, but I hustle to the suite as quick as humanly possible. Missing out on the first course of imported cheeses and is not an option. As the boys assemble, it's just a matter of time until the wagering reaches a frenzy. I always place a bet on when the crabcakes will arrive. My chum Robbie will start a pool on which Kraft will visit the suite first. I could go on and on about what a wonderful event these matches are. Needless to say, When we arrive home around 3:15PM, we're exhausted and Muffy is a bear. The price we pay as sportsman...right?

I've been trying to go to one game per year for the last few seasons but I have had to also factor in 3 x air tickets from London and hotel accom in Boston. Trust me it gets expensive but the experience is second to none

This year I am coming over for the Fins game in Dec but am now based in Perth (Australia). Try adding 3 airfares from there and it becomes crazy but you only live once and seeing the Pats live once every so often is priceless!!! Btw we just have "regular jobs" and save hard to do this. I figure this is a golden moment in Patriots history, and one I want to be a part of while I am around to see it

Catch up with some of you in December I hope.

You probably felt like you owned the place before they started winning and selling out every game

I don't remember what I felt.......most of the time, anyway.

I go to a game every 2-3 years now......whenever I can get a decent 1pm game in mid/late october.....that is my best time

I still recognize some people that go from the days of anarchy......some of them look 10-20 years older than they really are.....lots of wear and tear.

A few years back, I showed up and my buddy forgot the tickets at home.....at first it was 'WTF', but we had a great time......

Who really buys game day programs anyways?
