Nice story on Brady's first game at Levi Stadium and comparisons with Joe Montana. The following story has a nice contrast between Brady's excitement about playing in front of his boyhood home crowd and Belichick grumbling (appropriately) after the Seattle loss.

Tom Brady: 1st road game against 49ers will be special

Oh you mean the stadium that booed him mercilessly during the Super Bowl 50 halftime presentation. Yeah, that was pretty darn special.

Mind blowing that he's been in the league for 16 years and this is just now his first road game against the 49ers.

Haters are everywhere.

The teams only play every four years so there would only be 4 games between the teams. They roughly alternate home/away so there would only be two games @SF. And those games happened to be (a) when Bledsoe was still the starter and (b) when Brady was on IR.

Exactly, when you travel to an NFC stadium once every 8 years if you miss that one game then it becomes 16.

If Goodell really hated Brady, they would have scheduled this as one of the first four games or better yet, made it a London game.

I think we have enough other evidence.

Yep. 2008 was Cassel.

I also remember some guy named JT O'Sullivan somehow threw for 3 TD and did all right against the Pats defense that game.

Understandable considering a huge amount of Broncos fans there.

Should be a big game for Edelman too who is from that area as well. Wasn't he a Niners fan growing up as well?

That wasn't a home crowd. Will be interesting to see how the SF fans receive him.

Not to get political...believe me, I don't want to but considering his ties to the President-elect, Deflategate and other nonsense, I don't think he'll get a warm reception.

That was a bunch of corporate yahoos who paid big bucks to see and be seen at the SB, not local SF fans. I bet he gets a better reception this weekend. Plus, his parents will be there. From what I've seen, you don't mess with Daddy Brady

He can easily offset the political side of things by simply bringing his wife out on the field with him.

I don't think it's a political statement at all. I think it's merely a well informed opinion.

Yeah. He just put a video on Instagram of him playing for a pop warner 49ers team when he was a kid and he was even balling out back then.
