Sure, leave out the part where I said "possible" lack of motivation in trying to move up. No need to school people on "it takes two to tango" but when other teams move up constantly to select a targeted player it makes one wonder about "lack of motivation" so go wave your pom poms elsewhere.

Exactly. Plenty of teams moved up a few slots to get the player they wanted. So plenty of pairs lined up to “tango”. So either the Pats were blackballed for some unknown reason or they were content to stay in place or they just were unwilling to pay the price needed to move up.

Solid B from me. Would have liked to see some trade ups for better prospects but not the end of the world that they didn’t.

They tried with Buffalo, and they didn't want to trade with a division rival.

Yet Buffalo was ok trading with their biggest rival for the AFC championship. With the Pats starting a rebuild the trade with KC will likely to negatively impact Buffalo next year while the Pats are still not a threat.
