2026 Pre-Draft Meetings

Maybe he's there for Keyshaun Elliot.

This is a really good sign for your Iheanachor pick. I haven't hear about Vrabel anywhere except BC so for him to go there, just as he did with Will Campbell, looks promising for you.
Especially if he works out with him.

Just one small caveat. Vrabel is due in Scottsdale on Sunday so he’s en route anyway.

You are a tease.

I think it's fair to add Max Iheanachor to the list of prospects the Pats have had "contact" with:

Man I want that guy at RT. Vrabel will unleash the beast.

I'm warming to it as a likely pick. He's young, athletic and moldable. I would want us to trade up from 63 for an edge if he's the pick though.

I'm not. Don't like him at all as a first round prospect.

That would be fine with me.

I agree with @huckleberry, I'm generally more excited about the Day 2 and 3 prospects than the Day 1 prospects. Sure, Arvell Reese and David Bailey and Monroe Freeling are exciting, but they will be long gone.

I'm excited about Dillon Thieneman, but more excited about Treydan Stukes.

I'm excited about Jordyn Tyson, but more excited about Ted Hurst.

I'm excited about CJ Allen, but more excited about Jacob Rodriguez.

The 4 guys who I'm really excited about who have some chance of being available at 31 are Iheanachor, Blake Miller, Caleb Banks, and Akheem Mesidor.

I'm not sure I see Travis Burke as quite that ready, though I could probably be sold.

First me:

Plan A: Iheanachor/Miller at 31, EDGE Day 2 (DDS, Jacas, Lawrence, Parker, Young, Moore, Crawford, Joseph).

Plan B: EDGE Day 1, OT Day 2.

The problem I have with Plan B is that I don't particularly like the values at 31 unless Medidor falls, and I don't like the OT values Day 2.

Young is relative, though. Nothing definitive, but most reports say hes 24/25. Young compared to Moses, but not to the rest of the draft class. He could still be a 10 year NFL starter though.

This is still my preferred route although it's closer now.

I'd be much happier with that.

Honestly, I prefer later round tackles like Jude Bowry and Markel Bell to Iheanachor, although admittedly I do find O-Line the most challenging position group to evaluate

Your evaluations and mine are pretty much completely opposed, for whatever it's worth.

It does all seem reminiscent of the Will Campbell process. To the point where we might have to lock this one in.

This line pretty much convinced me

"I’m very familiar with their coaching staff and everybody.”

In my dreams.

Much as I would love to lock Iheanachor in, a big difference is that the Pats were picking at #4 overall in 2025, and Campbell was pretty much guaranteed to be available. The Pats could be "locked in" on Iheanachor, but there is a reasonable chance he gould go earlier.

But I am glad they are giving him a serious look, and I think he should be near the top of a short list for preferences at 31. It sounds like they had him in for a visit as well, which was not widely reported. That, the LaCanfora rumor, and interest in Travis Burke all suggest that OT is one area of high intetest.

Yeah but much easier to predict at 4 lol

I’m not a big fan of any of the edge players at 31. If we go that route I’d rather trade down. Fine with Iheanachor there. KC Concepcion would be the other guy I would be interested in at 31.

I'm not a big fan of WR at 31, either. Would rather trade down and grab Bell or Stukes.

My 31 options are essentially Iheanachor, Miller, Mesidor and Banks (depending on medical eval), or try to trade down.
