SB1 is typically wrong I wouldn't believe much of what he says.

You're right Edelman isn't getting in, he's not even on the list

Edelnuts and his insane post season numbers deserve a better fate than getting kicked to the curb after one year of eligibility
Brandon Lloyd? Derrick Mason, Muhsin Muhammad? In no universe should those guys even be considered close to hall of famers.

Bob Kraft snubbed.

Those SOBs.
I think the “contributors” HOF vote comes later in the fall. Also I think that committee has an informal policy where they look at owners one year, GMs/NFL executives the next, and others the next year.

I don’t expect The Scatback to be elected this year since they elected some guy last year who had a meeting once but who was the Canton franchise owner. This year I’m expecting someone like Steve Sabol RIP or Roone Arledge RIP. I appreciate both of those guys, especially Sabol. Anyone but R. Stokoe Scheisskopf will be OK with me.

Personally I think there is something hugely wrong with the entire HOF election processes now. Clearly there is a double standard regarding the Patriots, where for them and them only all of a sudden championships are meaningless. Oh well, still kind of fun to think and discuss this topic.

Harrison should sign a one day contract and retire with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Then he'll get in.

Why do they call these guys former Patriots. None of them had any positive impact with the Patriots.

Rich Gannon – The veteran quarterback was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 1987 NFL Draft but was traded to the Vikings shortly thereafter.

Steven Jackson – Signed late in the 2015 season, Jackson started the AFC Championship Game against Denver, scoring a touchdown in his brief Patriots tenure.
Fred Taylor – The longtime Jaguars star joined the Patriots in 2009 and played two seasons in a rotational role, scoring four touchdowns.
Torry Holt – Though he never played a regular-season snap, Holt spent the 2010 offseason and training camp with the Patriots before being placed on injured reserve.
Chad Johnson – Known as Chad Ochocinco during his time in New England, Johnson played the 2011 season with the Patriots, catching 15 passes and appearing in Super Bowl XLVI.
Reggie Wayne – The longtime Colts great signed with the Patriots in 2015 but was released before the regular season began.

Um…". v Wilfork,
Edelman ok not in first year, but his post season nrs are insane & deserving too.
Bruschi & Welker you can also make arguments for, but anti-pats vote likely dooms them.

Wilfork will struggle because his position doesn't lead to stats that they use. I know some people will say, well he was a big piece on two SB's. But the counter is that the early 2000's Patriots won 2 SB's without Wilfork and the mid 2010's Pats won 2 SB's after Wilfork was gone and the big drought was the majority of his career.

Edelman will never get in. Great post season, but it's always going to be hard justifying over WR's who had traditionally better careers. Torry Holt is struggling to get in right now and he has 6000 more career yards double the amount of TD's, won a SB, has All Pros that Edelman doesn't and was on the all decade team.

Welker MIGHT have if his career took place when Edelman's did and he won SB's with us.

The HOF in football isn't like baseball. You don't wear a cap or team logo on your bust. Your plaque lists the team and years played for them. So being a Patriot for any amount of time makes you a HOF'er with the Patriots on your plaque.

Out of all the first timers I can see Brees and Fitz going in on the first ballot.

Pouncey might be first ballot because Steelers.

Its a travesty that a 6 time World Championship owner is not in the HOF. While 3 timer and Piker Jerry Jones has a gold jacket.

You cant write the story of the NFL without Bob Kraft.

I get that it's part of the history, but it was a local writer posting them as Patriots. Whatever, it's just another of my quirky perceptions.

Lloyd was only the 3rd best WR on the 2012 roster.

I understand Edelman getting snubbed in favor of a lot on guys on the WR list based on production, but Brandon Lloyd? C’mon.

Yeah that one is probably the most egregious of all nominees. Lloyd literally has one 1,000 yard season.

Borges representing the Patriots is a travesty.

And yet it's one we revisit every time the subject comes up. Borges is like herpes, he just keeps on giving

Calling Gannon a Patriot is a huge reach by that writer.

When **** Steinberg drafted him the intent was for Raymond Berry to convert him to a defensive back. Gannon said no way, and forced a trade, just a week after he was drafted.

He led the league in receiving yards in 2010, and was thoroughly average the rest of his career.

That black ink on the stat sheet really matters, I guess.
