From what I read somewhere, the Giants and he were close but it fell apart and the Pats swooped in. So I don't think you got duped so much as not all the details were finalized when it got reported.

Yeah, I think it was a combo of initial real reporting that they 'were close' followed by fake/fan accounts reporting that it was official with actual dollar amounts, and I mentally conjoined the two.

Still, it is a good sign by this front office - two years in a row they have managed to persuade what was effectively their biggest target to NOT sign with some other team that they were close to signing with, and instead sign with them. It shows aggression and some real ability to get deals done.

This feels inline with what they like to do, which is take guys with high ceilings but have been in bad situations or haven't been used as much, and see if they can get more out of them.

My prediction for next season in the AFC: the Bills will have the worst or second worst defense in the conference and teams will throw all over them. Will be a nightmare for the fans.

Did you see the number of draft picks eagles have .. they just don't need to sign anyone . Their drafts will keep auto generating talent . Roseman knows what he is doing .

Yeah with Gibbs taking more carries im assuming they wanted a cheaper option than Montgomery.

And Pacheco isn't the runner Montgomery is, really, but you can give him the ball 6 times a game or whatever.

I am surprised at the number of players Buffalo has signed considering they still need to find a way to get back above water on their own salary cap. They will need to start cutting other players or moving money around today to get there by the deadline tomorrow.

And they can't restructure Allen yet. I dunno what else they're going to be able to really do. I think the McGovern contract frees a little bit up, and I'm sure Knox's does too, but man. Samuel and Bosa's money are off the books (Gilliam too), but they're right up against it.
