2026 Draft: Interior OL

Charles Jagusah, Notre Dame, 6-7, 333

This is one of the most bizarre prospects I've seen in all the time I've scouted. Now full discalimer, he probably doesn't come out this year. He has 119 career snaps (yes you've read that right) and while he was expected to be ND's RG this season, he broke his arm pre-season and has yet to play this year. That suggests to me he won't come out.

However, everyone seems to rave about him in pre-season scouting. His HC compared him to Will Campbell and said he can play guard, tackle or center. One grader I saw had him as iOL 1 despite his limited snaps.

An oversight of what he offers.

Scouting Report: Strengths

  • Freakish athlete who moves like a tight end despite carrying 330 pounds - that 4.95 forty isn't a typo, it's legitimate game-changing speed.

  • Frame built in a laboratory with massive wingspan and natural thickness, the kind of physical specimen you can't teach or replicate in the weight room.

  • Brings serious violence to his punch, latches on like a vice grip and rides defenders into the ground with genuine mean streak.

  • Balance and body control look effortless, stays square through contact while keeping his pad level clean - technique that screams natural talent.

  • Wrestling pedigree shows up immediately in hand placement and leverage battles, knows how to control a defender's hips and neutralize power rushes.

  • Positional chess piece who has lined up everywhere from left tackle to right guard, giving coordinators matchup flexibility they rarely find.

  • Comeback story from that pectoral tear reveals legitimate mental toughness, stayed locked in all season knowing his moment might never come.

  • First step explosion off the snap creates immediate displacement, generating push in the run game and disrupting pass rush timing beautifully.

Scouting Report: Summary

Jagusah is the kind of developmental prospect that keeps offensive line coaches awake at night - not from worry, but from excitement about the possibilities. His athletic profile screams NFL starter, but the limited tape creates a fascinating evaluation puzzle. Teams running zone-heavy schemes will drool over his movement skills and ability to reach defenders in space, while his wrestling background suggests he can handle the hand fighting that defines modern pass protection.

The versatility factor cannot be understated in today's NFL, where teams value linemen who can slide between guard and tackle based on matchups and injuries. Jagusah has already proven that adaptability by stepping into different roles during Notre Dame's championship run, showing the kind of team-first mentality that resonates with coaches. His comeback story from the pectoral injury also demonstrates the mental makeup needed to survive the NFL grind - players who can maintain their edge while dealing with setbacks tend to have longer, more successful careers.

Smart franchises will view Jagusah as a classic developmental pick with starter upside, someone who can contribute immediately in a rotational role while learning the nuances of NFL offensive line play. His athletic ceiling remains sky-high, and the limited wear and tear from his abbreviated college career could actually work in his favor long-term. Teams picking in the third or fourth round looking for a cornerstone interior lineman would be wise to take a hard look at this Illinois product who has all the tools to anchor an NFL offensive line.

If he does declare this year we should be all over him. If he doesn't he becomes a serious consideration for an early pick next year. Regardless, keep him at the back of your mind. Wouldn't it be nice to have 'Will Campbell' playing next to the actual Will Campbell - no matter which way you line them up.

I really need to watch more Iowa games. Im a big Dunker fan, Pieper i doubt comes out, but Beau Stephens looks really good to me.

Jugasah is an enigma. I've purposefully avoided him. Some people think he's an athletic freak and future top 10 pick, others have him in the UDFA range. Need more tape to evaluate.

Matt Gulbin, C, Michigan State 6-4, 312

The highest graded center on PFF with an 87 pass blocking grade and a 76 run blocking grade. What makes him interesting is that while he's playing center last year, he had a full year at RG in '23 and a full year at LG in '24 whilst at Wake Forest. He graded well at both. Team captain in his first year at Michigan State too.

Would you countenance a 6'7" guard in round one?

Hear me out on Kadyn Proctor.

It's true he had a terrible start to this season, and the end of last season. However, he's really picked up since then. Against Georgia and Vandy he respective grades of 82 and 85. That dropped off a bit against the two top pass rushers of Missouri to a 67 although that is still significantly better than Fano and Lomu did against the Texas Tech pass rushers.

What does impress me about Proctor is his run blocking grade of 79 and his top percentile zone blocking grade. He's also very athletic for his size with a 32" verical jump.

I don't think I want him exposed on the edge, but at that size, he could become a dominating interior lineman. The only question is his height and whether he's too tall for the position.

With his recent performances I am warming too him.

I love it when you and I disagree. It happens so rarely.

I want a LG with Jared Wilson's kind of athleticism. Wilson may end up moving to C, but I'm not in a rush. Grey Zabel, yes. Kadyn Procter ... not so much.

I would not spend a 1st round pick on a RG.

I know Procter has improved, but he has way too much really bad tape for me to be comfortable before the 3rd round.

agreed, I have Jake slaughter as my Wilson v2

Manx, I applaud your open-mindedness and willingness to explore all angles. It's a great strength, you are much better than I am at being willing to explore new angles. I often use it to question my own assumptions and take another look.

I don't think 6'7" is necessarily too tall for a guard. Robert Gallery was a good LG. Grey Zabel is almost 6"6", and very smooth. I might be willing to look at the injured Notre Dame kid, Jugasah, who is 6'7". But not in the 1st round.

For me, Procter is a kid who is 1) enormous, even among planet theory people, and 2) hyped up. He does have some good tape, early last year and in the past 3 games. In-between he was god-awful. That's a full year of bad tape.

I like the depth at OL in this class. If I'm going to spend a 1st round pick, I want more surety than I have with Procter.

That said, he will probably become the next John Hannah, and will make me look like a moron. At least I'm used to it.

That's all very fair. I'm not convinced by the idea myself but as you say, I'm just exploring options. This is the fact finding part of the process for me. We'll get all the tape and scouting reports after the season has finished when we can then drill down to proper evaluations.

Trevor Sikkema and connor Rogers on Austin Siereveld. Link should take you to the start of the analysis.

Sikkema thinks he has top 50 and maybe first round potential because of how well he has played.

I focused on Siereveld during the Iowa game, was very impressed. Definite starter material.

Fa'alili Fa'amoe
Cayden Green
Austin Siereveld
Kage Casey
PJ Williams

I think we could get a starting RT out of any of those.

Ive thought about this as well. Wouldnt Proctor be just the kinda guy you want at RG. Massive. Mobile. Hed be tough to handle in a phone booth.

If we can let Onwenu go in 2026, we save $17.5M which we can spend on a FA safety, LB, or Edge. That makes selecting a RG in R1 or R2 more enticing - improve on Onwenu and sign a strong FA to fill a need.

Remember FA is for need, the draft is BPA.

Logan Taylor, OG, Boston College 6-7, 312

He's not getting much draft love right now, PFF currently have him ranked at 445. However, he's one of the better graded run blockers among guards this season. His grades are also very balanced which is something I like:

Run Block - 84.3
Pass Block - 88
True Pass Set - 85.6
Zone Blocking - 79.6
Gap Blocking - 78.8

He currently plays RG but was a LG last year. He also played LT in his first year and has LT snaps as backup to Jude Bowry this year too. Maybe he's just a UDFA PS player but that versatility would be a useful addition to the roster as swing guard and maybe swing tackle at worse.

Here he is at RG moving Peter Woods

We could use a Russ Hochstein type OL.
